RECRUITMET IITIATIVES 1 2 Date 2/12/215 2/25/215 Type of Recruitment Initiative (Menu Selection) Participation in events or programs sponsored by educational institutions Participation in other activities designed by the station employment unit Brief Description Of Activity Jay LeSeure, Program Director and Operations Manager, and Sean Frey, Sports Director, attended Career Day at Ottawa Township High School. Sean & Jay represented the Media category of the event from 12:25pm-2:15pm. Sean explained his education path via Penn State Univ and his career path from campus radio to part-time commercial broadcasting to full-time employment as a Sports Director including editorial responsibility and on-air sportscasting/play-by-play/talk host duties. Jay gave an overview of the opportunities to be found in broadcasting including the non on-air elements such as engineering and advertising sales. Students' questions were answered. The Career Day was attended by Juniors and Seniors at Ottawa Township High School ikki Wessman, Business Manager, participated in an on-line training meeting on February 25th with other market administrators at RG Media. The training helped to clarify what is required for successful use of the Broadcast1Source system for managing EEO hiring details for FCC compliance.
