3 2. Before Using Online Registration Users may experience a 2 to 6 minute delay between web pages during peak usage. If you log in before the appropriate registration time listed in the Course Registration Information you must log out of NECIN and then log back in. The use of the back button is not permitted on most screens. Data will be lost if the back button is used. All students are pre-registering for courses; all schedules are subject to a final review by the Registrar s Office. If a problem is detected, the Registrar's Office will contact students directly. Once course status changes from "Pre-registered" to "Current," the schedule is final. Schedules are available to print in NECIN. 1. The printing of PDF documents will be disabled in NECIN during high usage periods. If you are unable to print a PDF, please return to the system at a later time. 2. If you are idle for more than 10 minutes, you will be logged off NECIN. If you have been logged off NECIN and did not save your changes, your changes will be lost. You will be alerted with a warning when you have two minutes remaining in your session. 3. Registration for Courses Offered in Both Divisions If a course is offered in both the day and evening divisions (e.g., Employment Law: EM373D01 and EM373E01), a priority will be given to students within the offering division (a day student will be given priority for EM373D01). Spaces in courses offered in both divisions will be blocked to the opposite division until all students within the division have had a chance to register. Please, refer to the Registration schedule in the Course Registration Information to view the dates when courses will be opened up to all divisions. 4. 21 NECIN will not allow you to register for certain courses in two waitlist scenarios. Only the Registrar s Office staff can override the conflict: a. Once you have been waitlisted for a course, NECIN will not allow you to register for a different section of the same course. Example: If you are on a wait list for EV200D01, you cannot enroll in the other Evidence section, EV200D02. Example: If you have first registered for EV200D01 and then wish to be waitlisted for EV200D02, you will not be able to do so because NECIN views this as a duplicate course selection. b. NECIN will not allow you to register for a course if the course has a time conflict with a course for which you have already waitlisted. In either of these events listed, you will need to send an immediately to the Registrar s office to either: (1.) Enroll in the course. (2.) Get on the waitlist for which you received the error message. The Registrar s Office will process requests in order of receipt and will send an status/confirmation to you. 5. Check the box to the left of the course code and click Leave Selected Waitlist(s) if you do not want to stay waitlisted for a course. Figure
