2 Dear Builders Safety Group Participant, Builders Safety Groups 2014 Training Requirements Thank you for choosing to be a part of the Builders Safety Group Program. Enclosed you will find valuable information regarding upcoming group training sessions to help you meet your annual training requirements. It is important that all group participants complete their required training no later than August 27, All Builders Safety Group participants must complete two Mutual safety training classes during this policy year and no later than 8/27/14. Please note that completion of the OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety Course, which provides free of charge to all policyholders, satisfies the annual Builders training requirement. Please contact our Loss Prevention Department to reserve a place in your selected training sessions: (401) or seminars@beaconmutual.com. Enclosed please find: Schedule of Builders Training Classes - February through August These 18 classes are designed to address frequent group losses, exposures and common observations made in the field by Loss Prevention staff. Some topics include Aerial Lift Safety, Behavior Based Safety, Conducting Job Site Hazard Assessments, Electrical Safety, Fall Protection, Hand & Power Tool/Personal Protective Equipment, How to Write a Construction Safety Program, Material Handling, Snow Removal from Rooftops, and Scaffolding Safety. Due to OSHA s continuing emphasis and enforcement of the Fall Protection regulations, there are again multiple Fall Protection classes scheduled. Mutual s Open Seminar Schedule. All 48 open seminars being held during this policy year are free of charge to policyholders and count toward annual training requirements.
