1 Introduction American Association of Colleges of Nursing s (AACN) partner, the Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health (ASPPH), is undertaking an environmental scan of AACN member schools' and programs' graduate student level involvement in interprofessional education (IPE) and collaborative practice. We would appreciate ONE academic affairs administrative lead, or the IPE lead, from each AACN member institution to fill out this survey. If IPE is absent from your school or program, this survey will take less than one minute to complete. If IPE is present, the survey will take 10 1 minutes to finish. The World Health Organization defines IPE as When students from two or more professions learn about, from, and with each other to enable effective collaboration and improve health outcomes (WHO, 2010). For purposes of this survey, consider nursing as a single profession. Do not report intraprofessional activities within your school or program of nursing as IPE. The survey seeks to determine if and how your school or program CURRENTLY interacts with other health professions schools, non nursing professional schools, public health agencies, and/or clinical care delivery towards building students' interprofessional abilities. The aim of the survey is to identify schools and programs that are integrating public health and care delivery into IPE towards improving graduates' abilities to advance population health. Your response is respectfully requested by Wednesday April 23. Aggregated results will be shared with: attendees at the May 2014 thought leaders' meeting: Reconnecting Public Health and Care Delivery to Improve the Health of Populations; the Interprofessional Education Collaborative (IPEC); the AACN academic affairs section representatives; and, all survey respondents. Please direct questions to Ms. Liz Weist at eweist@asph.org. Thank you. 1. Please enter your school or program. 2.
