1 CURRICULUM VITAE ALEXANDER HANSEBOUT PARTNER AT THE LAW FIRM ALTIUS HEAD OF THE DISTRIBUTION AND AGENCY LAW PRACTICE - Avenue du Port 86 C B414, 1000 Brussels Belgium - Telephone : , Fax : alexander.hansebout@altius.com PRACTICE AREAS - Distribution and Agency Law Practice Alexander Hansebout advises clients and conducts litigation regarding any aspects and especially the termination of (exclusive) distribution, agency, franchising and brokerage agreements in the international context. - Commercial dispute resolution On a daily basis, Alexander Hansebout engages in the resolution of disputes involving multinational and/or domestic companies, regarding a broad range of issues including commercial and contractual matters, tort liability, recovery of distressed debt, the enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitral awards, etc. This includes negotiations, mediation and litigation before the national courts and the European Court of Justice, but also arbitration under the Arbitration Rules of the International Court of Arbitration (ICC) and the Belgian Centre for Arbitration and Mediation (Cepani-Cepina), as well as general ad hoc arbitration. Alexander also acts as an arbitrator. MARKET RECOGNITION - Department head Christophe Ronse concentrates mainly on litigation in the life sciences and healthcare sectors. Senior associate Alexander Hansebout is a key member of the team and has a broad practice, encompassing general commercial litigation and arbitration. (Chambers Europe 2012). - Adopting a very hands-on and client-friendly approach, ALTIUS (in co-operation with Tiberghien) regularly handles corporate and commercial litigation and regulatory disputes.
