4 How Do We Do It: Data translation is accomplished by first understanding the business process at either end of the relationship (supplier hub or customer hub) and building an electronic translation module that will create transactions that fit the business rules and protocols at both ends. 17 EXACT Software Middleware Software modules created to fit a specific trading partner need. This software allows the end user to construct a transaction on a series of input screens and relay these transactions to the FSI service for validation and translation. EXACT will interface with popular accounting packages that have import/export capability thus fostering automatic transaction generation and eliminating the need to re-key the data already in the customer s native accounting package. The EXACT solution has an imbedded SOAP interface which creates an automatic secure connection to the FSI network and allows immediate file transfer for processing. If the customer does not have Internet access, there is an embedded communication module allowing the user to call the FSI network through a private dial-up to arrange for the file transfer.
