2 INTRODUCTION The EDI platform cleardax is clearing Service solution, mainly focused on the automotive industry for exchange and conversion of logistic data. With our services we offer you the option to outsource your EDI project. Even with the main focus on the automotive industry other manufacturing branches can be connected via our platform as well. We overtake either only the exchange sending and receiving - of logistic data or in addition the conversion of messages by means of translation tables (mappings). In the following chapters you find the description of the main functions. Further functions please look up in the chapter Additional performances and functions. MAIN FUNCTIONS Our cleardax platform complies with the state-of-the-art and is run in a computing center which is certified according to ISO The software in use is furthermore modularly designed to give you the option to book various module functions in addition to the services. These are the main functions:

3 DATAEXCHANGE The data exchange with your communication partner can be carried out via various transmission ways. CONNECTION OF YOUR COMPANY WITH CLEARDAX a) If you use your own communication system, you transfer data from your ERP system to your communication system and send the data via any transmission way to our system. b) If you do not have a communication system, you transfer automatized the data from your ERP system to our FTP server which is integrated in cleardax. The communication connection can so be encrypted using SSL. The receipt of data can additionally be confirmed by . CONNECTION OF A COMMUNICATION PARTNER WITH CLEARDAX For data exchange between cleardax and the communication partner various protocols can be used: - Odette File Transfer protocol (OFTP) version 1.x and File Transfer Protocol (FTP) - SMTP - Service Provider VANS (upon request) - HTTPS All communication processes are logged and monitored. In case of an errror we initiate the according measures depending on the error. If needed, you can be informed via on all successful or erroneous exchange processes, too. All received and sent data are archived for the period of 120 day and are then deleted. On request the period of archiving can be extended.

4 MAPPINGS To prepare the conversion, so-called translation tables or mappings must be generated. Therewith for each and each communication partner and each file format in use a mapping is generated which transfers each position of the resource format to the according position of the destination format. Missing static information details can be completed by means of so-called look-up tables. Specific requirements of you or your communication partner can be considered as well. The generation of mappings is carried out in close cooperation with the ERP responsible of your company and one of our EDI consultants. All structured file formats can be used here. In the automotive industry and other branches however the following formats are dominating: - IDOC data (SAP R/3) - EDIFACT messages - VDA messages - ANSI messages - XML messages of any relevant type - ODETTE messages The following ERP systems can be connected by default: 1. SAP 2. Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision) 3. Infor 4. ABAS 5. proalpha 6. Wincarat 7. Comarch (früher Soft M) 8. IFS 9. FEPA Further ERP formats have to pass through a test at first, in order to find out if information, required for mapping, can be provided.

5 CONVERSION After you or your communication partner received data, the conversion is carried out automated in the core of the cleardax platform. Now the mappings, described before, come into action, translating automated the data provided according to communication partner or message format. Conversion and sending are recorded and the converted files are archived. ADDITIONAL PERFORMANCES AND FUNCTIONS Additional performances and functions for conversion are: Special forwarding mechanisms, based on predetermined criteria: When sending or receiving a file, it can be forwarded to further partners on the base of certain criteria. This function is used for example when a shipment notice file has to be send to an OEM and at the same time to an external service provider. Special process mechanisms on the base of certain criteria: Prior to or when sending or receiving a file a follow-up processes can be triggered on the base of special criteria. Possible process: - If you use an SAP system, inbound data have to be splitted, this means that article-related data records are generated, as SAP can only process data records with one article. Administration of missing static information via look-up tables: If your ERP system is not able to provide certain static data, which are however required for conversion to a destination format, we can complete these via look-up tables.
