5 Mastering Anterior & Posterior Composite Restorations A Direct and Indirect Approach to Dental Artistry Dr. Newton Fahl Learning Objectives restorations Class V restoration (biocorrosion) About the speaker Dr. Newton Fahl, Jr. is a member of the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (AAED), and founding member and past-president of the Brazilian Society of Aesthetic Dentistry (BSAD). He is a MCG-Hinman Foundation fellow. Dr. Fahl is the recipient of the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (AAED) 2008 President s Award for Best Teacher and the 2011American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD) Excellence in Cosmetic Dentistry Education Award. Dr. Fahl has published extensively on direct and indirect bonding techniques. He is on editorial board of several peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Fahl lives in Curitiba, Brazil, where he maintains a private practice emphasizing esthetic dentistry. He is director of the Fahl Center in Curitiba, Brazil where he conducts hands-on courses on direct and indirect adhesive restorations.

In 2000 she received her dental degree from the University of Pennsylvania (USA) and in 2003, she earned Returning to Europe in 2003, she joined the department of Fixed Prosthodontic headed by Prof. Urs Belser at the University of Geneva (Switzerland), where she remains as a senior lecturer. Dr. Vailati maintains a part-time private practice in Geneva, dedicated to aesthetic restorative dentistry and prosthodontics. variety of topics related to full mouth adhesive rehabilitation and implant prosthodontics.

He was Assistant Professor in the Department of Prosthodontics in Freiburg, from and from From he was Visiting Research Associate Professor at the University of Maryland at Baltimore. Since 1997 he is Professor and Chairman of the Department of Prosthodontics, Propaedeutics and Dental Materials at the Christian-Albrechts University at Kiel, Germany. Matthias Kern is currently the President of the German Association for Prosthetic Dentistry and Biomaterials and
