Of course, every parent wants the best for their child. But what does the best mean? UK schools for more than a decade have been ranked by League Tables. But these tables are seriously misleading. Many of the very best schools do not enter the leagues because they do not trust them. Eton, Winchester, Harrow and countless other schools acknowledged by independent inspectors as world-beating are simply not to be found in the tables. Why? The UK Government only collects data from schools which take the less demanding exams. And not one of the leagues measures a school s ability to love and care for its children; to provide a spiritual, moral, emotional, sporting or artistic education for all its students. Let alone build the child s character. However, those on the inside know which schools do well in the holistic, as well as academic, care of the youngsters. 7 Our Initial Consultation is FREE There are lots of things we need to know about the family and the children to be placed before we can start to help. So our initial consultation is entirely FREE. During that initial meeting, we seek to establish clearly the family s needs and requirements. Our charges only begin when we start to find schools and organise preparation for the children. We charge half day and daily rates. We identify lists of prospective schools and counsel on their merits in relation to the needs and talents of the children to be placed. We fix appointments and accompany parents, where required, on school visits and in meetings with Heads and admissions staff. We assist in negotiating school fees and contracts and can also help in organising finance, if that is needed. When required, we arrange for the children to be properly prepared for their school entrance exams and to have coaching on interview techniques. Translation services can also be arranged. Working alongside David is Suzie Oweiss, a former Admissions Tutor and consultant to the Good Schools Guide.
