5 Program Objective The primary objective of this course based Master of Management program is to prepare graduates for leadership positions within the global business world. Offered through the highly regarded Odette School of Business at the University of Windsor, The Master of Management program will give you the tools needed to rise to the top of your chosen industry. Through this program, you will further your understanding of business in the following ways: Enhance your knowledge of International Accounting and Finance Develop your core managemement and leadership skills understand the necessity and abilities of Marketing in the global business world Improve your strategic business knowledge Fully understand the role of a manager and leader of an organization Increase your quantitative knowledge and abilities Program Overview You will study and live in Canada for approximately 16 months. All programs include 12 prescribed courses completed over 4 academic terms. Each program starts in September. The International Accounting and Finance specialization has two intakes (September and January). 8 the courses The Master of Management In the Master of Management program, courses will be conducted over four terms (approximately 16 months). You will take three courses each term for a total of twelve courses. While you will study your specialization of choice, you will also be equipped with core business courses will have multi-disciplinary relevance and provide the practical knowledge required to excel. Below you will find a list of topics that will be covered in each specialization. All students take the same 7 required courses regardless of their program. 11 Admission Requirements Four-year bachelor-level degree (or equivalent) in an acceptable discipline from an academic institution approved by the University of Windsor. the equivalent of a B average or higher in undergraduate studies (when converted to Ontario standards). Demonstrated English proficiency by meeting or exceeding a 7.0 score in the IELTS test or a TOEFL score of 100 (ibt).* A successful interview with a representative from the University of Windsor. two supportive letters of reference (at least one from an academic source) Application must be completed through a partner agency. See our website for details. Enrollment is limited. Preference will be given to candidates who exceed the above minimum requirements and those who have relevant work experience. 12 English Language Assistance Various-length language programs are offered to provide you with complete English-language training and orientation to Canada, prior to entering into the regular Master of Management course work. During this program, you may also participate in local activities to get acquainted with the area. If you demonstrate excellent English language skills, you may be exempt from taking this training program. Employment Program The Master of Management Employment Program, facilitated jointly by the Odette Career and Placement Services and the Centre of Executive and Professional Education, will guide you toward the development of your Career Portfolio, to build the skills necessary to obtain employment upon graduation. The core of the program focuses on seven dynamic workshops that build on labour market understanding, resume & cover letter development, networking skills, professional development opportunities and job search strategies. In addition to this program, you will be given unlimited access to one-on-one appointments with a Career Advisor and you are encouraged to practice your interviewing skills using video play-back technology. The workshop series occurs during your regular Master of Management studies during nonscheduled class time. You are encouraged to experience unlimited opportunities to get involved... whether to broaden your mind or establish friendship. The International Students Society and numerous other student clubs, provide friendship and support, as well as academic, social and recreational activities. St. Denis Athletic and Community Centre, offers an indoor track, a large indoor pool, state-of-theart weight and exercise rooms along with an indoor and outdoor stadium. You may also choose to be part of an organized, intramural athletic team and take part in sports such as soccer (football) or a Canadian favourite; floor hockey. There are numerous activities to be a part of, whether on campus with organized or impromptu games and activities, or cultural events taking place in the City of Windsor.
