1 GRADUATE SCHOLARSHIPS FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS İzmir University of Economics offers scholarships for international students who want to study at graduate programs in academic year. Scholarships are available for the following graduate programs. The scholarship covers only total tuition fee for the selected graduate program. 2 Application Requirements for Graduate School of Business (GSB) For Master Programs Being graduated from an undergraduate degree program of a higher education institution recognized by the Higher Education Council in Turkey (YÖK) To get adequate score either from Graduate Record Examination (GRE) or Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT) scores or an equivalent score specified on Table 1.(*) Table 1: GMAT/GRE Requirements for Master Programs of GSB Program Min. Submitting two reference letters In order to be exempted from English Preparatory Programs, candidates are required to submit an internationally valid exam score specified on Table 2. If the candidate has not taken any of these exams, then s/he can take English Proficiency Exam conducted by İzmir University of Economics. Programs Being graduated from an undergraduate degree program or master degree program (with thesis) of a higher education institution recognized by the Higher Education Council in Turkey (YÖK) To have a GPA of at least 3.00 out of 4.00 or an equivalent score To get adequate score either from Graduate Record Examination (GRE-min. 153) or Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT-min. 520). Scoring at least 55 at UDS (Interuniversity Foreign Language Exam), KPDS (Public Personnel Foreign Language Placement Exam) or YDS (Foreign Language Exam) in French or German, or scoring an equivalent score at an exam approved by the Interuniversity Board for candidates applying for Ph.D. programs whose native language is English Scoring at least 70 at UDS (Interuniversity Foreign Language Exam), KPDS (Public Personnel Foreign Language Placement Exam) or YDS (Foreign Language Exam) in English, or scoring an equivalent score at an exam approved by the Higher Education Council for candidates applying for Ph.D. programs whose native language is not English. 4 Application Requirements for Graduate School Natural and Applied Sciences (GSNAS) For Computer Engineering Master Program: to have graduated from programs of Computer Sciences, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Industrial Engineering, System Engineering, Informatics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mathematics, Physics, Logic and Conceptual Sciences and similar 4-year undergraduate programs of a higher education institution recognized by Higher Education Council of Turkey (YÖK) For Electrical and Electronics Engineering Master Program: to have graduated from programs of Electrical and Electronics, Electric, Electronics, Electronics and Telecommunications, Telecommunications, Control, Biomedical, Mechatronics, Computer, Software and other engineering programs, and Physics or similar 4-year undergraduate programs of a higher education institution recognized by Higher Education Council of Turkey (YÖK) For Industrial Engineering Master Program: to have graduated from departments of Industrial Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, System Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electric/ Electronics/Telecommunication Engineering, Information Technologies, Mechatronics, Mathematics, Physics, Logistics Management or similar 4-year undergraduate programs of a higher education institution recognized by Higher Education Council of Turkey (YÖK) For Architecture Master Program with Thesis: to have graduated from departments of Architecture, Interior Architecture, City and Regional Planning and respective design fields of a higher education institution recognized by Higher Education Council of Turkey (YÖK) For other master programs: To have graduated from 4-year undergraduate program of a higher education institution recognized by Higher Education Council of Turkey (YÖK) For Ph.D. in Computer Engineering: To have graduated from a 4-year undergraduate program or master program with thesis from the following faculties/programs of a higher education institution recognized by Higher Education Council of Turkey (YÖK) : a) Faculty of Engineering: Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Industrial Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering; b) Faculty of Sicence: Mathematics-Computer Sciences; c)faculty of Education: Computer and Teaching Technologies For Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics and Statistics: To have graduated from a 4-year undergraduate program or master program with thesis from the following faculties/programs of a higher education institution recognized by Higher Education Council of Turkey (YÖK) : Mathematics, Statistics, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Mathematical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Industrial Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering For Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering: To have graduated from a 4-year undergraduate program or master program with thesis from the following faculties/programs of a higher education institution recognized by Higher Education Council of Turkey (YÖK) : Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electric, Electronics,Telecommunication, Biomedical, Mechatronics, Computer Science, software and other similar engineering programs To graduate with a GPA of 3.00 over 4.00 or equivalent point average In order to be exempted from English Preparatory Programs, master program candidates are required to submit an internationally valid exam score specified on the table below. If the candidate has not taken any of these exams, then s/he can take English Proficiency Exam conducted by İzmir University of Economics. Phd. Program applicants can not take English Proficiency Exam conducted by İzmir University of Economics. They have to submit the score of one of the exams specified on the following table. 4
