Established in 2010, the restaurant is designed on the simple concept of good food at a reasonable price, Deemer s American Grill transports the diner to a simpler time in American history. Presenting premium hamburgers, savory salads and delicious sandwiches, Deemer s American Grill presents high-end American cuisine in a casual and comfortable environment. 2 Deemer s American Grill Background information Comfortable and inviting, Deemer s American Grill offers south Orange County residents a casual roadside diner experience with a touch of nostalgic Americana flare. Deemer s American Grill opened in Laguna Niguel, CA on November 18, 2010 in the heavily trafficked shopping center of Plaza de La Paz. The area of Laguna Niguel is surrounded by middle to upper class neighborhoods and is very family oriented. Owner and chef Kevin Deemer knew that opening his first establishment in Laguna Niguel would be an ideal location to launch his fast-casual dining vision. Locals in the area were hungry for a more relaxed family dining atmosphere that was capable of consistently delivering great restaurant quality food. Kevin s extensive "real world" restaurant management experience provided him with a significant competitive advantage that provides Deemer s American Grill with the best possible chance to achieve long-term success. His many years working in fine-dining, catering, and banquet room management enabled him to prepare recipes, and cross-utilize foods efficiently from day one. With a secure business plan in place, Kevin brought in partner Jackie Bouchey (Owner/Controller), to bring his modern interpretation of the classic road side grill to life. The Deemer s American Grill concept fulfills local residents, families, and business professionals looking for quick and satisfying meals without any pretense. Kevin created a simple and flavorful menu that incorporates fresh seasonal and locally grown fruits and vegetables, fresh 100% all-natural Angus beef, fresh ground turkey, all-natural chicken, and homemade sauces and dressings. The menu is focused on traditional American classics with a modern twist, from savory and creative hamburgers, mouthwatering sandwiches, garden-fresh salads, tasty sides, and blend to order shakes. The restaurant also serves a variety of tap and bottled craft beers from local breweries as well as a nice selection of thoughtfully paired wines. The restaurant has quickly become a neighborhood favorite and has had customers come from as far as Los Angeles and San Diego. Deemer s American Grill will continue to provide high quality food and strive to meet the expectations of their patrons with the hopes to open several more around Southern California in the near future.

3 Kevin Deemer Owner/Chef Deemer s American Grill Growing up in Southern California and a long-standing resident of Newport Beach, CA, Chef Kevin Deemer became a well-respected chef and restaurateur through his uncompromising desire for cooking and his affinity for first-class hospitality. Deemer s first experience with the restaurant industry came about at the young age of 15 years old when he was hired as a busboy at the Ritz Restaurant in Newport Beach. Throughout his early career Deemer s fascination with the industry led him to work in a variety of positions, from host to bartender and even valet. His knowledge and zest for the restaurant business led him to enroll at the prestigious California Culinary Academy in San Francisco. In 2000, Deemer received his AOS degree from the California Culinary Academy and upon graduation, Kevin was invited to an extended internship at The Dining Room Restaurant at the Ritz Carlton Resort in San Francisco, one of the few restaurants in the country that maintains the AAA s highest five diamond rating. Following his completion at the California Culinary Academy, Deemer owned and operated the Yankee Tavern in Newport Beach where he actively served as the restaurant s General Manager overseeing all of the daily operations. The Yankee Tavern was a highly visible 4,500 square foot restaurant featuring bay-side views and traditional American cuisine. While under his management, Kevin successfully increased the restaurant s annual revenue by 35% in its very first year and helped make the Tavern a dining fixture in Newport Beach during his fouryear tenure. Deemer s additional restaurant experience included a position at the Cliff House, a fifty-five room Victorian luxury hotel in Pikes Peak, Colorado where Deemer was hired as the Executive Sous Chef and challenged to bring a four-star, four-diamond rating to the hotel. Shortly thereafter, The Cliff House received both accolades and the award of excellence from Wine Spectator magazine. Deemer also enhanced his studies in French cuisine at Pascal s, a local fine-dining restaurant in Newport Beach. In 2003, Kevin Deemer went back to The Ritz restaurant and held the position as Chef Tourant, where he oversaw every aspect of the kitchen as well as their banquet and menu event planning. Though accomplished as a chef, Mr. Deemer s culinary skills are complimented well by his business expertise and his ability to manage the business affairs for large, full-service restaurants. So, in 2011 Kevin Deemer decided it was time to once again follow his passion for great food and to have a place that was inviting and where locals can call their own. Deemer s American Grill opened in Laguna Niguel, CA. The restaurant concept is simple, a modern day roadside diner that offers fresh-ground burgers, flavorful salads, savory sandwiches and handmade shakes all given a unique twist to the classics by Kevin Deemer.
