14 Frequently Asked Questions IBM COBOL Q Is Oracle dropping support for Micro Focus COBOL with PeopleSoft? A No. Customers may continue to use the Micro Focus product. This is an additional choice of COBOL vendors Q Who might consider this option? A Existing customers considering a move to Windows or AIX, or new customers considering a PeopleSoft implementation on Windows or AIX Q Will Oracle certify additional COBOL compilers for other supported operating systems? A Yes. We are working with partners to offer our compiler options on all Oracle-supported platforms

15 Frequently Asked Questions IBM COBOL Q Will Oracle include a copy of the IBM COBOL compiler with PeopleTools? A No. Oracle has certified IBM COBOL compilers, allowing customers to select their preferred vendor Q Can a Micro Focus compiler obtained through Oracle be exchanged for an IBM compiler? A No. Customers will license the IBM compiler from IBM. Discounted pricing is currently being offered Q Has Oracle certified the IBM compilers with all PeopleSoft applications that use COBOL? A Not yet. HCM and FSCM 9.0 and 9.1 are certified. Campus Solutions plan to certify in the first half of 2011.

Oracle will no longer provide a no-cost license for WebSphere to new customers Q Will Oracle continue to provide a no-cost license for WebLogic with PeopleSoft? A Yes Q Will customers need to re-purchase a WebSphere license from IBM? A Options for a smooth transition are being discussed for customers who obtained their IBM WebSphere license from Oracle. Ultimately this will be determined by IBM.

A Customers who receive a license from Oracle will be eligible for WebSphere support from Oracle while PeopleTools 8.51 is being patched (a minimum of 12 months after the release of PeopleTools 8.52) Q Will newer versions of IBM WAS continue to be certified with newer PeopleTools releases? A Yes, Oracle will continue to work with IBM to ensure new versions of WAS are certified for use with PeopleSoft applications

20 More Details IBM WebSphere PeopleTools 8.51 will be the last release to package IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS) Existing customers may use the current license, new customers will not receive a license to use WAS with PeopleSoft applications Future versions of IBM WebSphere will be certified with future PeopleTools releases Customers who wish to continue using IBM WAS will need to obtain appropriate license and support from IBM prior to upgrading to PeopleTools 8.52 Oracle will continue to package Oracle WebLogic with PeopleTools. All customers will have the option to use this product at no charge.

21 Announcing: A Change To Crystal Reports Licensing As of June 1, 2011, Oracle will discontinue distribution of Business Objects Enterprise and Crystal Reports with PeopleTools Existing customers may use the license previously received from Oracle PeopleSoft reports will continue to be delivered using Oracle XML Publisher, which is included free-ofcharge.

A The license from PeopleSoft continues to be valid. Newer versions may be to purchased directly from SAP Q Will Oracle provide an automated tool for converting Crystal Reports to XML Publisher format? A Due to the complex logic in many custom reports, no tool is available for automated report conversion. Q Will newer versions of Crystal Reports continue to be certified with newer PeopleTools releases? A Yes, Oracle will continue to certify new versions of Crystal Reports for use with PeopleSoft applications.

24 More Details Business Objects and Crystal Reports All customers who have received a licensed copy of Business Objects products from Oracle with PeopleTools will be able to continue using them according to the provided license terms Oracle plans to continue to certify future versions of Business Objects products with future PeopleTools releases Customers who wish to use future versions of Business Objects products with PeopleSoft will need to obtain appropriate license and support directly from SAP/Business Objects. Oracle will continue to package Oracle XML Publisher with PeopleTools. Customers may use this product at no charge All of the critical reports included with PeopleSoft applications will be converted to XML Publisher format and included with future PeopleSoft releases
