1 Success Rate EXCERPTED FROM PASCO-HERNANDO COMMUNITY COLLEGE ACCOUNTABILITY STANDARDS AND MEASURES A.A. and A.S. degree student rates are shown by the blue and red bars. State-Defined Cohort: This measure shows the status of First Time in College AA, AS and AAS degree seeking students and PSVC and ATD seeking students. The AA, AS, and AAS students must have completed at least 18 college credits during the tracking period. The cohort is tracked for four years. The Fall 2000 cohort performance is displayed under the 2004 Year of Accountability Report column in the concluding two tables which summarize the performance of PHCC students versus students statewide. Fall 2001 cohort performance is displayed under Year 2005, etc. State-Defined Success Rate: The number of students who graduated, plus the number still enrolled in good standing, plus the number of students who left the College in good standing divided by the number in the cohort pool. AA students who started at one community college, transferred to another, and then transferred to the state university system are not accounted for in this report. The report focuses solely on the performance of students who received their complete education from PHCC. The percentages indicate the numbers of students maintaining a grade point average of 2.5 or above in their upper-division coursework. The cohort performance is displayed under the 2004 Year of Accountability Report column in the concluding two tables which summarize the performance of PHCC students versus students state-wide cohort performance is displayed under Year 2005, etc. The College s benchmark is a transfer performance rate of greater than or equal to 75%. 3 College Level Academic Skills Test (CLAST) Performance State-Defined Cohort: AA degree students (excluding transfer students) who have earned 60 or more credits at the degree level. This measure shows the percentage of those students who met the College Level Academic Skills Test (CLAST) requirement. The data reflect students who took the CLAST or exercised the CLAST Alternative, which allowed them to meet requirements on the basis of entry placement test scores or subsequent performance in math and English courses. The cohort performance is displayed under the 2004 Year of Accountability Report column in the concluding two tables which summarize the performance of PHCC students versus students state-wide cohort performance is displayed under Year 2005, etc. The College s benchmark for overall is a pass rate of greater than or equal to 95%.
