2 About ASCDE ASCDE is a frontrunner in providing continuous dental education in Egypt & Middle east founded initially as mastering dentistry 2008 by Dr Kohail. We are pleased to provide a wide variety of professional courses, outstanding programs, presentations and meetings in different dental branches to assist dentists in updating their knowledge and skills with the latest developments. Currently, the ASCDE has organized 70 comprehensive dental courses covering all dental branches including orthodontics, implantology, cosmetics, periodontology, and dental surgery. In Only 5 years, more than 1900 dentists attended our courses from 14 different countries; and around 60 lecturers in the different dental topics were hosted from numerous countries Including the UK, USA, France, Spain, Lebanon, Jordan and finally Egypt. ASCDE hosts the first British orthodontics master degree in Egypt and in the middle east from University of Dundee (UoD). All our comprehensive courses includes Lectures, workshops and Hands on patients. All our courses are not sponsored from any company or promoting any products.

6 American Dental Association CERP ASCDE is one of 431 ADA (American Dental Association) CERP providers all over the world. The only approved dental society in Egypt & Africa. Providers of continuing dental education (CE) are evaluated in 14 aspects of CE program quality by the ADA CERP council. Only providers that can meet ADA CERP standards and procedures are granted approval and are authorized to use the ADA CERP logo and recognition statement. Once approved, providers are held accountable for maintaining those same high standards through periodic revaluation. 74 dental schools are ADA CERP providers, most of them are in USA. 7 Academy of General Dentistry PACE ASCDE is one of 700 AGD (Academy of General Dentistry) PACE provider all over the world The only AGD PACE CDE provider in the middle east ASCDE courses is recognized for AGD fellowship & Mastership Arab Society for Continuous Dental Education is designated as an Approved PACE Program Provider by the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD). The formal continuing education programs of this program provider are accepted by AGD for Fellowship, Mastership and membership maintenance credit. The AGD Program Approval for Continuing Education (PACE) evaluates the educational processes used in designing, planning, and implementing CE so that our members have access to high quality CE. 8 International Association of Orthodontics ASCDE is recognized sector from The International Association for Orthodontics (IAO) representing the middle east ASCDE courses credit hours are accepted for IAO Tier Advancement IAO Tier Advancement membership categories have been designed to encourage members to participate in orthodontic continuing education (CE) programs and therefore to improve their clinical skills. In just one year the ASCDE has grown the International Association of Orthodontics Egyptian study club from 4 dentists to 4 study clubs joined by 300 dentists. Currently ASCDE is preparing a program for Egyptian doctors to enter the IAO fellowship exam in Egypt and the international board of orthodontics exams in USA. ABOUT IAO: The International Association for Orthodontics (IAO) is the oldest and largest of the national and international non-specialty orthodontic groups. The IAO was established in the United States in 1961 to promote International cooperation in the orthodontic field of dentistry. 9 American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry ASCDE is a recognized study club of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry Representing the Middle East In December of 1984, 60 dentists answered the call of AACD founder, Dr. Jack Kammer and co-founder Dr. Jeff Morley. This visionary group met in Las Vegas to create an organization devoted to the art and science of cosmetic dentistry. From this small gathering of dedicated individuals, the AACD has matured into the world s largest organization for cosmetic dental professionals. Over the years, hundreds of professionals have selflessly served the Academy as officers, board members, and so on. The AACD continues to grow and now includes more than 6,000 dental professionals, laboratory technicians, educators, and researchers from 70 countries worldwide. 10 University of Dundee The First & Only British Transnational Dental Degree in Egypt The University of Dundee (UoD) and the ASCDE have recently signed a memorandum of understanding underpinning the collaboration. The Msc in orthodontics will be a program for dentists wishing to specialize in this discipline. Working closely with ASCDE, lecturers from Dundee will travel to Cairo on monthly basis to teach the planned threeyear program. 11 The approval process has taken more than two years from June 2011 till the beginning of 2013 including reciprocal visits between Cairo and Dundee and meetings with Dundee head of internalization, head of Quality Insurance, head of Business development and finally with the University of Dundee principal professor Pete downes. 13 Implantology Course This 8 session course is intended for dentists who want to integrate both the surgical and restorative phase of dental implants in their daily practice. We start with patient selection, treatment planning and critical anatomical structures when considering dental implants, and progress up to segmental osteotomies, sinus augmentation, on-lay grafts, soft tissue management and nerve lateralization. 8 workshops are offered to familiarize the candidate with all the disciplines involved and integrate it into implant care. 16 Orthodontics Course Our 2 years program covers both the theoretical part (one lecture per week) and then the clinical part (one session per month) Students treat orthodontic patients from diagnosis and banding to retention for a full clinical experience. It is the only course where candidate are treating patients with fixed orthodontics till retention phase under supervision of our instructors. This course is recognized Tier Advancement Program of the International Association For Orthodontics (IAO). 11/9/ present 413 total participants 13 courses to date

19 Dental Surgery Course Our intensive dental surgery course for GPs will go through a wide range of topics that are required for a professional in their day to day life in the clinic. It starts with achieving profound local anesthesia and handling complicated extractions, reaching up to performing impactions, cyst, enucleations. Biopsy procedures and finally managing dental emergencies in the dental office together with BLS and CPR. Two workshops are included. Total credit hours: 60, the program extend to a month. 2/4/ present 225 total participants 7 courses to date

20 Sedation Course In cooperation with esthetica hospital This six day course is designed for healthcare professionals in dental practice. It includes sedation, analgesia, pain control and basic life support (BLS) in all healthcare settings. Repeated Once Attended by 18 candidates

21 Restorative Course Our 3-month comprehensive restorative course consists of four modules, devoid of any product promotion: - Operative dentistry - Endodontics - Crown and bridge - Bleaching and Esthetic management The course covers clinical tips & tricks and consists of 8 workshops and hands on, along with the latest development in each module. Moreover, it s the only course that covers parameters of esthetics & smile analysis including the recent trends in soft tissue management incorporated in esthetics. 24 Periodontics Course Our Comprehensive course consists of 8 sessions theoretical and 3 Hands-on workshops on sheep heads. It is designed to help GPs to incorporate periodontal diagnosis, care and surgery into their daily practices. It combines lectures and hands-on workshop to cover a broad range of periodontics basic reaching up to advanced periodontal surgical techniques for teeth and implants with a highlight on esthetics and new advances such as grafting and GTR placement. The course extend to 3 months, Total Credit hours: 80 6/8/ present 139 total participants 6 courses to date

25 MJDF Program Our 4 months course provides a clear scope for the examination and is based on the 4 domains of the UK curriculum of dental foundation. It comprehensively covers the clinical domain with each respective discipline including anxiety management; professionalism domain including ethics, the dental team and the law; communication domain including communicating with the patient, your team and your peers; finally management domain including legislative and financial issues. Our approach, which emphasizes problem-based learning, is considered a fresh method to tackle the differences in acquiring knowledge between UK and Egypt.
