1 USHPElection2015 PresidentElect(votefor1) ElyseMacdonald,PharmD,MS,BCPS ElyseiscurrentlyaDrugInformationSpecialistwiththeUniversityofUtahDrugInformationService.Sheearnedher PharmDin2008fromCreightonUniversitySchoolofPharmacyandHealthProfessionsinOmaha,NE.Shecompletedher PharmacyPracticeResidencyatthePhiladelphiaVAMedicalCenterinJune2009andcompletedherDrugInformation specialtyresidencyattheuniversityofutahhospitalsandclinicsinjune2010. Forthepast2years,ElyseservedasoneoftheUSHPMembersNatNLargeandwastheboardliaisontotheProgram Committee.Elysewasalsothechair/coNchairfortheprogramcommitteefor3years.Elysewouldbehonoredto continuetoservetheushpmembershipaspresidentnelect. PaulWohlt,PharmD,BCPS PaulWohlt,istheAssistantDirectorofClinicalPharmacyatIntermountainMedicalCenter.Afterreceivinghisdoctorof pharmacydegreefromtheuniversityofwisconsinschoolofpharmacy,paulwentontocompleteapgy1pharmacy ResidencyattheUniversityofUtahandaPGY2CriticalCarePharmacyResidencyattheUniversityofWisconsin.Paul beganhiscareerwithintermountainhealthcareasaclinicalcoordinatorandaclinicalpharmacistpracticinginthe NeuroscienceCriticalCareUnit.In2012,PaulestablishedthePGY2CriticalCareResidencyProgramatIntermountain MedicalCenterandservedastheProgramDirectorfor3years.Paulisanactivememberoflocal,state,andnational organizations.hehasbeenamemberofushpsince2004andhaschairedtheushpadvocacycommitteesince2012. Paulisexcitedtopromotetheroleofclinicalpharmacistsandtoservetheprofessionduringthisexcitingtimeofchange inhealthcare.

HisworkinvolvesformularydecisionNmaking,clinicalprogramsdevelopment,studentprograms,andoverseesthe divisiondrugspendbudget.hehasbeenamemberofushpforthepastfiveyearsandservedasboardmemberand CommunicationsCommitteeLiaisonforthepasttwoyears. HisinterestinTreasurerforUSHPisrootedincontinuingtheworkdonebyprevioustreasurerstoprovideastrong financialbackbonetothesocietyandensurethatushpremainsfinancialstrongtosupportitsmembers. KatherineSmith,PharmD,BCPS KatherineSmithisAssociateProfessorofPharmacyPracticeandDirectorofContinuingEducationatRosemanUniversity ofhealthsciencescollegeofpharmacy.sheprovidesmedicationmanagementandhasacollaborativepractice agreementatamedicalclinicinparkcityandistheresidencyprogramdirectorforanewpgyn1programbasedatthat site.shemanagesa$90,000+/yearbudgetforcontinuingeducationforthecollegeofpharmacyandhasbeensuccessful inobtainingunrestrictedexternalfinancialsupportforcontinuingeducationactivities.foraperiodoffiveyears,shewas theceadministratorforthenewlyformednevadasocietyofhealthnsystempharmacists.shehasbeenushp s CommunicationsCommitteeCoNChairforthepastthreeyearsandhasbeenamemberoftheorganizationsinceshe movedtoutahin2010.ushpcommunicationscommitteeprojectshaveincludedthedevelopmentofanevaluation schedulefortheushpwebsite,thecreationofamembersatisfactionsurvey,andthegenerationofasocial media/ communicationframework.shehopestocontinuetheimportantworkofcurrentandpastleadersofushp withrespecttohighnqualitymeetingprogramming,memberengagement,andadvocacyfortheprofession.

3 BoardMemberatLarge(votefor2) ErinB.Bailey,PharmD,BCOP ErinreceivedherDoctorofPharmacydegreefromWestVirginiaUniversitySchoolofPharmacyin2010.Shecompleted anashpnaccreditedpharmacypracticeresidencyattheuniversityofutahhospitalsandclinicsin2011,and subsequentlycompletedanashpnaccreditedspecialtyresidencyinhematologyandoncologyatthehuntsmancancer Hospitalin2012.Erinobtainedboardcertificationinoncologypharmacyin2013.Afterresidency,Erinjoinedtheclinical pharmacyteamatthehuntsman,andcurrentlyworksinthegynecologyandgenitourinarymedicaloncologyclinics.erin hasbeenanactivememberoftheushpprogramcommitteesinceshecametoutahin2010,andhasservedasthe ProgramCommitteecoNchairduringtheprevioustwoyears.Duringthistime,Erinhasdevelopedadeepunderstanding oftheprogramcommittee sstrategiesforprovidinghighnlevelcontinuingeducationeventsforushpmembers.erinis devotedtoushp,andwishestofurtherherinvolvementwithushpbyservingasaboardmemberandliaisontothe ProgramCommittee.

MichaelKatzourakis,PharmD,MBA Dr.KatzourakisisapharmacysupervisorattheUniversityofUtahHospitalinpatientpharmacy.In2011hecompleteda PGY2HealthNSystemPharmacyAdministrationresidencyattheUniversityofUtahHealthCareSystem,whichwas precededbyapgy1generalpracticeresidencyatthesaltlakecityveteransadministrationhealthcaresystem.he earnedhisdoctorofpharmacydegreefromtheuniversityofutahcollegeofpharmacy.inadditionhealsoreceivedan MBA,andaBachelorofSciencedegreeinBiologywithaminorinChemistryfromtheUniversityofUtah.Dr.Katzourakis isanactivememberoftheamericansocietyofhealthnsystempharmacistsandutahsocietyofhealthnsystem Pharmacists(USHP),andheisinterestedinbecomingmoreinvolvedwithUSHP. 5 BethYoungisaclinicalpharmacistwiththeInpatientThrombosisServiceatUniversityofUtahHospitalandClinics.She isresponsiblefortheassessmentandmanagementofanticoagulationtherapyinpostnoperativeorthopedicpatients, andhematology/oncologypatientsinboththeinpatientandoutpatientsettings.shepreviouslyworkedforthecollege ofpharmacyattheuniversityofutah,managingtheexperientialprogram.shereceivedherdoctorofpharmacydegree fromtheuniversityofutahin1990andamastersinfoodsandnutritionin1992.shehasbeen aboardcertifiedpharmacotherapyspecialistsince1999.in2000,shebecameacertified immunizer.dr.youngmaintainsanadjunctassociateprofessorappointmentwiththecollegeof Pharmacy.Herteachingresponsibilitiesincludeteachingfirstyearpharmacystudentsan introductorycourseinthedoctorofpharmacyprogram;confacultypreceptorforthe InternationalAdvancedPharmacyPracticeExperienceinThailand;andpreceptingstudentsand residentsontheanticoagulationservice. I"believe"that"the"changes"happening"with"health"care"today"will"provide"greater"opportunities"for"pharmacists"to"be" more"directly"involved"with"providing"preventative"care"and"managing"medications"for"patients."however;"these" opportunities"require"us"to"be"proactive"about"advocating"for"a"profession"as"a"whole."we"need"to"recognize"our" colleagues"and"work"together"as"a"team"with"a"common"goal"of"patient"care."i"am"passionate"about"the"pharmacy" profession"and"feel"that"it"is"important"to"give"back"to"the"profession"to"make"it"stronger"for"the"next"generation"of" pharmacists. TechnicianBoardMember JenniferRestum,CPhT AftergraduatingwithdegreesinNuclearMedicine,BiotechnologyandNanotechnology,jobopportunitiesandfamily broughtjennifertothebeautifulbeehivestate.jenniferhasover15yearsofworkexperienceinthepharmacyand healthcareindustryandiscurrentlyinchargeoftheinfusiondeliveryserviceathuntsmancancerinstitute.her specialtiesincludepharmacy,nuclearmedicine,oncologyandradiationcontrol.asidefromwork,shealsoenjoysrowing, paddleboardingandspendingtimewithherfamily.
