3 Asentria Corporation - A Leader in Complete Remote Site Solutions Asentria solutions provide a wireless network operator with a host of monitoring, access, and control options for their remote wireless sites. These capabilities provide the additional benefit of potentially substantial cost reduction for wireless network operations. Top technicians get greater, more immediate access from the Network Operation Center, decreasing downtime Fewer overall technicians are needed due to reduced truck rolls Reduced frequency of scheduled visits, such as re-filling of diesel generator fuel tanks Reduced power costs due to smart applications for load-shedding or intelligent heating/cooling Asentria makes products for the following types of sites: PEDESTAL ENCLOSURES These sites typically have just one or two doors, and are basically designed to hold one or two 19 wide equipment racks. In these sites, Asentria products may monitor some of the passive elements of power, security, or environmental conditions, but are also much more frequently used to monitor or access the active service providing equipment. These sites are common in the newest wireless build outs of new WiMAX/LTE providers, as well as many other entities that might perform some type of wireless communication, such as highway departments, railways, oil and gas providers, and military or government installations. WALK-IN ENCLOSURES These sites are the most common, and are located all over the world. These shelters are used by cellular or other wireless providers and may have multiple carrier s equipment collocated within one building. In these sites, Asentria products may be used only to do monitoring and control of passive elements such as power, security, or environmental conditions, without any need to monitor specific service providing, or active equipment which provides the actual wireless service itself. These sites are mostly used by wireless telecommunication carriers worldwide. EQUIPMENT ROOMS Larger than wireless communication sites that appear closer to the edge of the network, centralized equipment rooms at the core of the network contain higher concentrations of equipment, and can have somewhat different monitoring needs. Asentria products can do a wide variety of monitoring and control tasks in these sites, related to environment, power, and security monitoring and control. Often, there is more of a focus on monitoring AC power in these sites than in more remote, DC-powered locations. IDEAL USES Asentria products are the most comprehensive tools available for preventing downtime in the critical edge locations on your communication networks. Asentria products can commonly be found in all of the following locations: Cellular or WiMAX Base Transceiver Stations (BTS) Microwave Communications Sites Cable or DSL demarcation points Radio and TV Broadcast antenna sites Oil and Gas production facilities Utility company s communication networks Transportation (Highway or Rail) communication networks Military Locations Wind Power Locations CUSTOM SOLUTIONS Asentria has provided solutions globally for over 30 years, and has tens of thousands of installed locations. For larger projects, we have frequently done custom development to create either new specific accessories, all the way to creating completely new base hardware for specific projects. Our S410 and S571 units, for example, were tailored to meet the needs of specific 3G and 4G cellular build outs, and both units have been deployed in multiple thousands of units for these initial projects, as well as becoming very successful standard products for separate projects. Asentria has complete control over our hardware designs and manufacturing process. Logistically we are capable of supplying any number of units, anywhere in the world. v

THE CHALLENGE As with any network service, unplanned remote site downtime due to equipment and power failure, and adverse environmental conditions can severely impair network service. When designing their remote site infrastructure, one of the biggest challenges this LTE service provider had was the maintenance of continuous and economical service regardless of the myriad of potential problems in such a complex network. For this LTE service provider with thousands of remote sites, any outage would mean that a legion of technicians in service trucks must roll to the remote locations. They viewed this as an enormously expensive and time-consuming reactive strategy that could impact the price, reliability, and consumer perception of their new LTE service. Another challenge surrounds the high power demands of LTE equipment mounted up on the tower over the cabinet-based WiMAX equipment it was to replace. The successful solution would need to provide additional high-current outputs to support LTE equipment. THE SOLUTION They chose Asentria, and initially used Asentria s S571 units. The S571 enabled the provider to conduct DC switching for up to twelve devices within the remote BTS locations, monitor environmental variables, and to gain remote Out-of-Band access to the BTS locations via a POTS dialup modem. After successfully deploying Asentria s S571 solution to hundreds of BTSs, Asentria set to work creating a next generation product that would encompass the functions of the S571, plus address the additional need identified for higher current switching in the new LTE network. Asentria s development and manufacturing teams set out on a mission to create a more capable single hardware device, ideally suited for BTS and other small location monitoring. Based on the Linux operating system, the new SiteBoss 572 (S572) device uses only 1U of rack space, provides up to five individually controllable high-current DC power distribution outputs. It delivers both In-Band and Out-of-Band access to as many as 16 serial devices. The onboard outputs can switch devices up to 30 Amps and Asentria PB2 and PB4 EventSensors can be connected to provide additional DC outputs. v

5 TM SiteBoss 572 Specifications (5) 30Amp 60VDC power outputs S572 BACK Panel SiteBoss 572 with 2 Expansion Slots IDEAL USE Remote Cabinet Monitoring & Control - The S572 is particularly designed to be used in the latest cellular or broadband wireless Base Transceiver Stations (BTS) for two primary purposes. One is the ability of the S572 to not only act as a DC power distribution unit, but to also act as an intelligent means of power cycling devices attached to its five power outputs to provide reboot ability for equipment experiencing problems in remote locations. The other primary purpose of the S572 is to provide connectivity to remote sites via its optional on-board wireless modem. This allows for connectivity to the remote BTS location should a primary connectivity method (like microwave backhaul) fail. Use of the wireless modem and DC reboot function together gives your Network Operation Center the ability to access a site that is otherwise inaccessible, diagnose the problem by enabling terminal or network access to all remote equipment, and correct the problem remotely via a reboot without the need for a costly truck roll. The S572 is designed around a powerful Linux processor which enables the use of security protocols such as SSH, SFTP, HTTPS, and RADIUS. The S572 supports an on-board scripting language for use in customized applications such as autonomously sequencing the powering up or down of devices at a BTS location based on certain events. 6 TM SiteBoss 571 SOLUTIONS SPOTLIGHT - WIMAX PROVIDER OVERVIEW A leading provider of WiMAX high-speed Internet service to residential and small business customers in North America, with service in 46 markets covering more than 400 cities and towns, quickly discovered the benefits of proactively monitoring, accessing, and controlling remote equipment, DC power, and environmental conditions. CUTTING EDGE BTS MONITORING AND SITE CONTROL DEVICE The SiteBoss 571 is a multi-function 1U system that facilitates advanced control and management capabilities into DC powered remote equipment sites. The nine high-current DC power outputs can each switch a 10A DC (at 60 VDC Max) power load. The S571 is only available in a DC powered version. On-board I/O provides serial, Ethernet, and a variety of I/O expansion options using the two Expansion slots. THE CHALLENGE As with any network service, unplanned remote site downtime due to equipment and power failure, and adverse environmental conditions can severely impair network service. When designing their remote site infrastructure, one of the biggest challenges this WiMAX service provider had was the maintenance of continuous and economical service regardless of the myriad of potential problems in such a complex network. For this WiMAX service provider with thousands of remote sites, any outage would mean that a legion of technicians in service trucks must roll to the remote locations. They viewed this as an enormously expensive and time-consuming reactive strategy that could impact the price, reliability, and consumer perception of their new WiMAX service. As WiMAX is considered a new technology by consumers relative to DSL or cable, it is imperative that quality of service be as high as possible. THE SOLUTION They chose Asentria, and initially used Asentria s SL81 units, plus a subsidiary Asentria DC switching device called the PB-1. This pair of devices enabled the provider to conduct DC switching for up to eight devices within the remote BTS locations, monitor environmental variables, and to gain remote Out-of-Band access to the BTS locations via a POTS dialup modem. After successfully deploying Asentria s SL81/PB-1 solution to hundreds of BTSs, Asentria set to work creating a next generation product that would encompass the functions of both the SL81 and the PB-1, plus address additional needs identified from the experience gained in the initial roll-out. Asentria s development and manufacturing teams set out on a mission to create a more capable single hardware device, ideally suited for BTS and other small location monitoring. The mandate was to create a smaller, less expensive, multi-functional, and more powerful device. Based on the Linux operating system, the new SiteBoss 571 (S571) device uses only 1U of rack space, provides up to 12 individually controllable DC power distribution outputs. It delivers both In-Band and Out-of-Band access to as many as 16 serial devices. The experience in the WiMAX deployment process led Asentria to add an MMC multimedia slot to enable field technicians to more easily service units by using the MMC cards to upload or download data from the S571. The S571 is also designed to scale for larger, more centralized Point-of-Presence (POP) locations. The WiMAX service provider is also using the S571 in their POPs throughout the country. Support of Asentria s EventSensor products enables the S571 to support PB2 external DC switching devices in order to switch up to 132 DC outputs at a single site. The onboard outputs can switch devices up to 10 Amps, with 30 Amp switching options available for larger loads. The S571 is based upon an embedded Linux operating system which increases the flexibility and power of the unit as a utility for NOC personnel to troubleshoot problems at a remote site. A second Ethernet port was added to improve the troubleshooting capability of the device through port mirroring and packet capture. There are many instances where a Base Transceiver Station (BTS) experiences problems that are related to a degradation of service rather than a complete failure. Such cases are particularly well addressed by the S571 which is designed to assist NOC personnel in eliminating such problems. Advanced passive logging capabilities allow the S571 to track and store remote access history and activity of service personnel which can help to determine if human error is responsible for problems. v

On-board I/O provides Serial, Ethernet, and dialup connectivity. The S550-2 and -6 models provide two or six Expansion slots respectively to allow addition of various communications and monitoring I/O interfaces that might be desired for your specific site application. SOLUTIONS SPOTLIGHT - POWER UTILITY OVERVIEW An Asentria product reseller delivered an Asentria SiteBoss 550 to a power utility customer who wanted to remotely monitor various legacy contact closure alarms. During subsequent conversations with the Asentria Technical Services Division, the customer s views on what could be monitored at a remote site changed significantly. THE CHALLENGE The utility s desire to monitor contact closures was easily satisfied during the initial testing. This level of monitoring gave the customer basic monitoring of presence /absence of AC main power, but nothing relating to other variables like current, voltage, frequency, or other issues that might impact service in some way. Before speaking with Asentria Technical Services personnel, they assumed that gathering such data was either too difficult or prohibitively expensive. This is a typical first impression, and is especially common among customers with limited remote monitoring experience. When first confronted with the monitoring needs of a remote site, individuals can feel overwhelmed with trying to figure out how to interface to the equipment they want to monitor. Many devices operate on different protocols or require specialized inputs, making it difficult to envision a single device solution. Rectifiers are a good example: A rectifier takes the alternating current received from the power company and converts it to DC power used to charge the batteries and to run the equipment. The interfaces to rectifiers can range from none to contact closures to a serial or networked interface card. Multiply that uncertainty across several remote equipment devices and your situation becomes complex very quickly. Yet in the case of the rectifier, the S550 can handle all the potential interface situations, using different configurations. If there is no interface in the current system, the S550 can monitor the incoming AC power, the outgoing DC power and the temperature of the rectifier to make sure it isn t overheating. If contact closures are available, the S550 can collect that data, and if there is a serial interface, then scripting can be used to talk to the rectifier. If there is a network interface, scripting can be used to collect SNMP data or connect to a telnet interface or even to collect data via a web interface. In cases where more than one user of power is present at one location, you can accurately allocate usage between users. In other situations, you might use an Asentria S550 to shed power loads based on recognizing a condition such as switching to battery backup power. After spending some time discussing his power situation, the customer determined that any comprehensive power solution would also have to include current, voltage, and frequency monitoring. THE SOLUTION Asentria recommended testing of the SiteBoss 550 unit with an add-on AC power analyzer. The S550 supports a scripting language called LUA that enables the S550 to interface to devices that use the RS485 protocol. Asentria supplies AC power analyzer equipment that uses RS485 as its communication method. This enabled the S550 unit to not only sense and alarm on a variety of existing contact closure alarms at the site, but also to communicate with the specialized power analyzer, which is capable of providing voltage, current, power and frequency data, and much more at a very high level of accuracy. This data is pulled into the Asentria unit so the client can be notified not just of a power outage but for a brown out and other out-of-spec power situations. Moreover, the system allowed the customer to check the bills he was receiving from the power company to make sure he was being charged correctly for his usage. For this utility customer, the ability to understand how a remote site was using power became as important as ensuring the continuous flow of power to his equipment. For a minimal amount of extra expense, the S550 enabled them to go far beyond monitoring contact closures, to more effectively run their remote sites via detailed power monitoring. v

OVERVIEW For many years, Minnesota state agencies such as the State Police or the D.O.T. Operated their command and control structure over separate communications networks, often with little to no interoperability. The lack of a unified, scalable communications network that state agencies could use to coordinate their responses to emergencies was cited as a major target of reform by the Minnesota State Government. THE CHALLENGE The challenge facing the lawmakers was one of funding the replacement of an antiquated patchwork of communication networks with a secure, voice network that could grow along with the state s transportation system. With the Federal Communication Commission s mandate that all entities utilizing wide-band VHF and UHF systems move to narrow-band systems by 2013, the Minnesota State Legislature responded by funding an 800MHz P25 Trunked Radio Communication System. The Office of Communications within MNDOT set out evaluating the state s current systems and began design of the required additions to bring all state agencies together onto a common communications platform. Due to the high degree of importance placed on the reliability of an emergency communications network, one of the steps was to find a company with an established track record of delivering remote monitoring and control solutions to ensure that the network and its equipment would function properly. THE SOLUTION Asentria was chosen to monitor two important items at the tower sites: environmental conditions (generators, smoke detectors, lights, building entries, AC & DC power) and the LAN/WAN backbone equipment. The remote site monitoring solution Asentria delivered to MNDOT included the SNMP-link SL-81 - and it s successor, the SiteBoss 530. Featuring a Cisco router at each tower site for connectivity, Asentria s remote site monitoring solution sends polling and alarm traffic via SNMP across the network to a central NOC. This is then fed into an in-house NMS system. The Asentria unit s powerful control capabilities allow personnel to remotely send commands to enable or disable power plants and relay switches; change equipment configuration parameters; connect remote users to restricted ports; collect, buffer and securely transfer data, and more. In addition, Asentria solutions have not only helped make MNDOT s network more reliable by enabling it to keep track of environmental conditions that could potentially pose a threat to its remote equipment, but have also proven to be highly flexible and customizable. v

The specific challenges vary depending on the part of the world, but variables related to power, security, and environment are major costs and concerns for anyone operating a distributed wireless network, or anyone that might be involved in providing services to operators such as leasing them towers. The S450 is Asentria s specific answer to meet the needs of those responsible for these mobile networks anywhere in the world. THE CHALLENGE Power in particular is both a huge cost and a security concern for mobile operators worldwide. More intelligent coordination between primary and backup power, as well as more intelligent usage of power at the site by existing equipment like HVAC, are universally desirable. In some parts of the world, a major focus may also be on a security related item like the theft of diesel fuel. Security concerns relate to managing site visits by authorized personnel, and the management of cameras at the remote site. Environmental issues vary from very simple, yet very destructive problems related to temperature or presence of water, to more sophisticated solutions involving intelligent HVAC solutions. In the case of a tower leasing company, they may face difficulties due to the fact that they have no direct communications to the BTS location, as they are not allowed to use the mobile operator s network to send data. In all cases, operators must weigh the cost to purchase and install the equipment, vs. the intended benefit. All of these issues were considered in the design of the Asentria S450 device. THE SOLUTION The Asentria S450 was designed to meet all these specific needs. It features calibrated inputs for specific sensors such as fuel level to reduce set-up cost during installation, and to improve the overall data that the S450 device can provide. The S450 and Asentria Technical Services provide the ability for an S450 to run custom scripts to handle more sophisticated tasks at a remote site without control from the network operation center. The S450 features a dual-sim wireless modem built-in (optional). A built-in modem lowers the cost of the unit and the dual-sim provides 2 wireless paths for data to travel on. The S450 is the result of years of experience in this industry, and is designed to be the most cost-effective, easiest to use, and most capable device for the purpose of monitoring critical variables at BTS locations. During the events of Hurricane Irene and Sandy in 2011 and 2012, respectively, wide areas of the Northeastern United States suffered power outages. Used extensively to keep the network up and running, it was at this time that the usefulness of mobile generators was highlighted. THE CHALLENGE Due to the widespread nature of power outages, the MNO faced a significant challenge during these severe weather events. The MNO had plans in place to use mobile generators and mobile cell sites, but during the course of putting these plans into action, several unforeseen problems were pointed out. All of the MNO s stationary cell sites were monitored via comprehensive monitoring systems based on SNMP. However the mobile generators were not on a standard IP network to provide data on their status or location. It became difficult for the MNO to keep track of where deployed mobile generators were located and how much fuel was available at these mobile units. In the case of both Hurricane Irene and Sandy, outages were widespread enough that mobile resources were re-allocated from non-affected areas to storm-struck areas. The additional mobile assets from other regions was difficult to manage in the overall operational plan. THE SOLUTION Asentria already provides solutions for monitoring stationary generators, and is well versed in large-scale wireless device deployment, but this was no off-theshelf solution. Since device size was a primary concern, Asentria began by considering the small space available for the needed hardware. It was also critical to use the least amount of power possible, as the S350 would be powered by a basic 12V battery in place to start a mobile generator. The S350 was designed to sleep the majority of the time, only waking when it detected the generator was in operation, or when the S350 s built-in accelerometer detected that the generator was moving. A wireless modem was a must, since in a large percentage of the S350 s potential usages, it was not expected that a wired IP connection would be available. It was important to be able to deliver alarm messages in the latest SNMPv3 format to meet security requirements and to work with an existing SNMP-based Network Monitoring Software. For this MNO, the S350 was a direct fit for their application. The S350 was designed specifically to meet the needs of an MNO customer managing large numbers of mobile generators to ensure the highest possible network uptime. S350 Side Panel v

Asentria designed its product line with a scalable, fl exible, modular approach that allows you to mix and match almost any combination of Expansion Cards. For ordering, Expansion card options are appended to the end of the base catalog number, with the fi rst expansion option being slot 1, the next being slot 2 and so on. While most confi gurations and combinations of Expansion cards in a given unit are allowed, there are some limitations. Please consult with Asentria Sales to answer any questions. HIGH-DENSITY EXPANSION CARD This ultra-compact expansion card manages up to 64 inputs/outputs in a single card slot. Ideal for use in locations with large numbers of contact sensors: IT centers, server rooms, equipment racks. A six-slot base unit can host up to 6 of these cards for extremely dense monitoring needs. Two high-density expansion cards are available: 64C with 64 dry contact-closure inputs; 32C8V8R with 32 contact-closure, 8 voltage inputs, and 8 relay outputs. Each card is to be used with a mating Y-interconnect cable terminated with two standard 50-pin Amphenol connectors, for easy drop-in replacement of legacy equipment in a prewired system. These connectors mate directly with many punchdown and wire-wrap blocks commonly found in telecom and buildingmanagement systems. Asentria offers optional connectorized wiring blocks that make it easy to wire complex sensor layouts in new systems, too. The high density IO cards use a 68 Pin SCSI-type connector on the card. The listed cable connects that connector to a pair of female 50 pin Amphenol connectors. When connected to a generic 66 block these cables provide a somewhat disorganized arrangement of the input IO with only a few ground pins. Asentria offers Custom 66 Blocks which are wire wrapped on their backside so that all 200 terminal posts can be used for alarm input wiring. Columns A and D providing input connections and columns B and C provide ground terminals. Fan pads are silk screened with all IO labels for easy identifi cation. Asentria custom 512 Blocks provide two rows of 32 wire wrap pairs for inputs and grounds, with individual labeling identifying each input post. 36 Power Monitoring EventSensors DIESEL AND PROPANE FUEL LEVEL SENSORS AND ACCESSORIES Diesel generators are often used to provide primary or backup power at remote communication sites. These sites rely on a diesel generator as a last line of defense against a power outage. In colder climates, it is likely that propane may be substituted for diesel due to the tendency of diesel fuel to solidify in cold weather. Fuel sensors monitor the tank s fuel by directly measuring the fuel in the tank. Asentria works with many different fuel sensors of different types, but prefers to use the following sensors in most cases. In some cases, dial replacements may also be available, offering the quickest path to installing a monitoring system on an existing diesel or propane fuel tank. DIAL REPLACEMENT PLUS SENSOR It may be possible to simply replace the dial that is on your existing diesel fuel tank with a dial replacement that includes a sensor that can be connected directly to an Asentria base unit. These dials work with S450 units with the /P2 option or with the 4VP5 Expansion Card* installed in compatible Asentria base units. The 4VP5 card both supplies the dial/ sensor with power, and also takes the readings from the sensor. This method gives a fuel level reading that is accurate enough for applications indicating the general level of fuel in a tank, but not accurate enough to do detailed fuel use analysis, or to look for fuel theft. Contact Sales for more information regarding whether your tank could use this simple to install method. R3D Rochester Junior Dial Fractional Industrial (Dial plus Sensor) R3D Rochester Senior Dial Fractional Industrial (Dial plus Sensor) Senior Top Mount TwinSite Adjustable Float Gauge ( Ohms) ** ** ** PRESSURE-BASED DIESEL FUEL SENSORS Pressure-based sensors, compared to all the different sensors we support, are the easiest to install and provide moderate accuracy. No special tank mounting is required; simply place the sensor in the bottom of the tank and route its 6ft cable up through any top inlet. CAPACITIVE DIESEL FUEL LEVEL SENSORS Capacitive diesel fuel sensors provide the best combination of accuracy and cost, though the installation of these sensors takes more effort than our other methods. This is the sensor that we recommend for doing fuel usage analysis or to detect theft. This sensor outputs a 4-20mA signal that can be monitored by any Asentria base unit that supports 4-20mA inputs. Fuel Sensor, Capacitive, 200 mm probe,.5% F.S., 4-20mA Fuel Sensor, Capacitive, 600 mm probe, 1% F.S., 4-20mA PROPANE FUEL MONITORING It may be possible to simply replace the dial that is on your existing propane fuel tank with a dial replacement that includes a sensor that can be connected directly to an Asentria base unit. These dials work with S450 units with the /P2 option or with the 4VP5 Expansion Card* installed in compatible Asentria base units. The 4VP5 card both supplies the dial/sensor with power, and also takes the readings from the sensor. This method gives a propane fuel level reading that is accurate enough for applications indicating the general level of fuel in a tank, but not accurate enough to do detailed fuel use analysis, or to look for fuel theft. Contact Sales for more information regarding whether your tank could use this simple to install method. 39 Support, Warranty & Training Information SUPPORT WHEN YOU NEED IT Asentria Technical Services provides a full-range of consulting services, including planning, design, deployments, upgrades, migrations, and custom development support. Asentria Support Services is dedicated to helping you achieve the most from your Asentria products while improving your ROI, reducing your administration obstacles, and ensuring the reliability of your remote equipment sites. DEPLOYMENT SUPPORT Asentria Technical Services provides a phone contact for you during a network rollout of Asentria products. Your Asentria contact is trained on the issues that commonly arise during a deployment, so they can quickly cut through any confusion and greatly speed deployment. They can also streamline support requests for product defects discovered during installation. You ll fi nd this a valuable addition that can allow even non-technical staff to roll out Asentria products around the world. PROVISIONING, PLANNING, ARCHITECTURE, AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT Implementing a new technology is often a risky undertaking. You can reduce risk by involving an Asentria professional experienced in the deployment of Asentria products in a variety of complex networks. We can help with provisioning, project management, and other tasks related to deployment. Implementing it right the fi rst time will save you time, money, and headache. CUSTOM SOLUTIONS Asentria products have a fl exible, hardware/software architecture, which allows our engineering team to deliver new technologies for monitoring additional equipment and environmental elements as they become available. If you have a proprietary requirement that we currently do not support, our Professional Services team can engineer it for you. A variety of engagements are available, and we will work closely with you to assess your requirements and determine the scope and time of a custom solution. EXTENDED WARRANTY All Asentria-manufactured products come with a one year warranty on parts and labor. The warranty is explained in full in the back of the product manual of the individual products. This warranty also includes all integral accessories of the product such as cables, power supplies, and Expansion cards, but does not include optional external accessories, which require separate purchase (except for international power supplies intended for use with Asentriamanufactured products). These separately purchased items may or may not have Asentria warranty coverage and if they do then this will be included in the user documentation for those products. Items not manufactured by Asentria such as 3rd Party Sensors are not covered by the Asentria warranty and thus are not eligible for this extended warranty coverage. The only warranty coverage for 3rd party accessories are the manufacturer s warranty for those accessories. For products that Asentria does warrant, the basic one-year warranty can be extended by purchasing up to four additional years of additional warranty coverage for a maximum total of fi ve years of warranty from the original date of purchase (including the original one year warranty). A unit under extended warranty shall be treated the same as it would have been during the original fi rst year of warranty. An extended warranty is purchased either when the unit is originally purchased, or some time during the initial warranty period. The list price (retail) cost per year to purchase extended warranty coverage varies depending upon the product, as follows: SiteBoss Products - Extended Warranty ES-CCU Products - Extended Warranty EventSensor Products - Extended Warranty PowerBoss Products - Extended Warranty TeleBoss - JITC Maintenance Agreement TeleBoss Products - Extended Warranty WAR-01 WAR-03 WAR-04 WAR-05 WAR-06 WAR-07 TECHNICAL SUPPORT / TRAINING When a customer purchases Asentria products, they can also expect to receive the highest and best levels of support available. Technical support is included in the purchase price of our products. This covers basic questions you might have as you do an install. If you wish to have more proactive training in the use of the units, a number of options are available. REMOTE TRAINING This is the most common method used. Remote training is more extensive than technical support. While technical support will answer questions to help you move through your install, this remote training is dedicated time from an Asentria technician to help you work on better understanding our products. Asentria technicians have extensive experience in working in real-world environments, and will make every attempt to apply their understanding of your usage of our products to your training. This training may not follow a formal training outline, but simply be assistance with your application. This training typically will employ the use of a remote terminal program such as GoToAssist. Remote Training - 3 Hours min. TR-GEN-01 PROFESSIONAL SERVICES Often a customer may benefi t from direct support from a Asentria Technical Services in the set-up of their particular application. Professional Services will most often involve remote support from an Asentria Technical Services representative. Various of levels of support are possible, however, including direct on-site support, and projects are quoted on an individual basis. Professional Services - Quoted per Project ENGINEERING In many cases, a customer s application may require some additional abilities not inherent in Asentria s base products. Asentria has a long history of being able to make adjustments to our products to more perfectly suit a customer s needs. If you wish to have more direct Asentria Engineering involvement in your project, a couple of options are available. On-Site Engineering - N. America - 1 Day min. On-Site Engineering - Overseas - 3 Day min. Custom Scripting Non-Recurring Engineering PSRV-01 ENG-SITE-01 ENG-SITE-02 CUSTOM SCRIPTING Many Asentria units support the use of a scripting language to better customize the functionality of the box. It is sometimes desirable to have Asentria personnel assist in the writing of the scripts. It is our recommendation that, if quite a number of scripts are needed, that this service be used to simultaneously train the customer on how to write their own scripts. ENG-SCR-01 CUSTOM ENGINEERING Asentria has a long history of doing customized engineering projects. These can range from designing a small accessory or software feature, all the way to a complete custom product, bearing the customer s name (OEM). These projects are so varied that they are quoted on a per project basis, and they are referred to as NRE, or Non-Refundable Engineering charges. ENG-NRE-01 CUSTOM HARDWARE LABELING Extend your brand by white-labeling Asentria hardware. Our in-house team can create a custom label from provided artwork or develop a design to fi t your needs. Custom Labeling CUSTLABFEE1 ON-SITE ENGINEERING Depending on availability, Asentria Technical Staff can be involved on-site with your project. This service is subject to minimum and maximum time limits. Typically this service is quoted per day, with travel expenses billed at actual cost. v
