3 Welcome! ECR Vault is a feature-rich document-retention system that makes the dream of the paperless office a reality for eye care practices large and small. ECR Vault is the fast, easy, HIPAA-compliant way to capture, store, and retrieve your paper files electronically! Access your ECR Vault files quickly and easily through seamless integration with OfficeMate and ExamWRITER. Getting Started This product is available as a self extracting download. Double click on the download file ECRVaultSetup.exe to open the contents and launch the welcome screen shown below. If the welcome screen does not launch automatically double click the file Autorun.hta. The Installation Instructions link provides important information regarding system requirements and installation instructions for each of the products listed. The ECR Vault Content Server must be installed on a server before the other products are may be used. 4 As part of a current software support agreement, Milner Technologies, Inc. performs upgrades remotely during normal business hours at no additional charge. On-site upgrade options are available for a nominal charge. In keeping with our upgrade policy, it is essential that customers be upgraded regularly to maintain the highest level of available support. This version of software or one of the last two major releases is fully supported. Customers using version 7.3 or lower will still receive assistance, but cannot be warranted as fully supportable. 5 ECR Vault Changes 2879 The Document Import Queue now has buttons for first and last pages of the queue Sorted columns now show sort direction in Find Documents Access Level Roles are now easier to see for the last items in the table A candidate REST programming interface based on MVC 4 technology is now offered, subject to change in future releases Administrators may now configure an optional password for the backup zip files The Statistics page no longer presents an extra prompt for credentials Internet Explorer 10 no longer needs to be run in compatibility mode The server now delivers the Application list pre-sorted The Document Import service now supports Application names that contain spaces Resolved a problem where the New Items page would display the old theme if the user attempting access didn t have any rights Advanced search now automatically rolls up after a search is initiated in Find Documents Improved display of search terms for PDFs The Document Import service now obtains the SQL connection information from the registry. This allows the connection to be reconfigured from a single location The Administration Panel Manage Roles and Assign Rights sort the displayed information Selecting users and groups for assigning rights is now friendlier The InBox feature now stores configuration information in CommonAppData directory. Old configurations are not automatically converted to this new location Un-hiding columns in Find Documents now immediately refreshes to display the hidden data Find Documents now uses higher contrast color Performance tuning. 6 3208 Creating fields with bad information now displays a friendlier message Corrected a problem that sometimes prevented administrators from deleting Applications Corrected a problem where Find Documents could ignore the user s maximum record limit Workstation locked licenses are now version specific Inactive users and Active Directory distribution groups are no longer displayed in the User Management page The Document Import queue now allows the list to be filtered Silent upgrades are now supported via the /v /qn command line switches The Document Import service configuration file now can be configured to fire SQL triggers Using the Print View button in Find Documents no longer re-prompts for credentials Upgrades no longer overwrite the SQL version information in the configuration file if the version of SQL can t be identified The Archive Service no longer stops if the event log becomes full New Licenses web page no longer crashes if the user doesn t have registry write access Corrected Document Import service to allow its SQL timeout to be adjusted Corrected Document Import service to allow its workflow trigger directory location to be adjusted The Change System User tool now also updates corresponding settings in the registry Resolved a Find Documents formatting problem caused when the C2SID_SUBJECT field is moved within an Application General behavior improvements and fixes for Document Viewer, and other actions, due to performance enhancements made in beta Name and Date are no longer reserved field names The Document Import service no longer sends alerts while waiting for batches to become ready for processing A new ChangeZipPassword utility is provided for configuring the password used by the Document Import service to unlock batches for processing. 7 3350 Resolved a problem where sites with large numbers of Applications could get an error on the User Management page if they started editing a row and then tried to move to another page of Applications C2SID_CREATOR field is now auto-populated by the server when storing new documents, if the client doesn t supply a value The content server install now ensures necessary SQL client components are installed. This is necessary for servers that have no current version of SQL components loaded locally Support is added for secure credential transmission from ZipQ Per-workstation licensing is now supported in non-dns environments Resolved a timeout that occurred when using Find Document Download more than once in quick succession Resolved a problem that caused Create Index to complain that a size had not been provided for the new field. ECR Vault Changes 3483 ZipQ has been tuned to support very high transaction volumes Starting new instances of the ZipQ monitor transfers control to an existing monitor when it is already running Resolved a problem where the Document Import service always used the default PurgeDelay setting Licenses are now released faster Resolved a problem that could allow users to see each other s queries Find Documents now sorts dates better ZipQ now displays on the standard task bar instead of the Windows systray Connection pooling is now enabled by default, the default pool size is 1024, and the default SQL connection timeout has been increased to 60 seconds to accommodate slower SQL services The document import web service now determines the drop folder location from the windows service s GlobalSettings.config file located in CommonAppData\Comsquared\ImportService Resolved an install failure that sometimes occurred when SQL created the initial empty content server databases. 8 3542 Corrected a problem where successfully changing the password under System Management Keys reported a failure when it was working properly. ECR Vault Changes 3566 Document Import service no longer waits ½ hour to initiate loads if SQL triggers fail to notify it that files are pending Resolved an OutOfMemory error logged by the Archive Service when managing large documents or handling smaller documents under limited memory availability. This also resolves a problem where documents could be lost while writing to SDL or ESDL storage under full-disk conditions Resolved a problem where an API license would be acquired if the session was left idle too long Web administrator now allows copying and pasting licenses with leading or trailing spaces Web administrator now allows copying and pasting licenses without the standard description text following the actual license Resolved a problem where Find Documents could consume two licenses per session instead of just one Custom content server Applications with Integer fields can now use List Data Configurations for those fields Patient identifiers First Name, Last Name, and Date of Birth have been deleted from the content server to ensure HIPAA compliance Client software can now contribute meaningful use audit entries ECR Vault client now allows authorized users to delete documents. In addition, it issues a meaningful use audit entry to the server when users perform a distribution via , export to file, etc Resolved a problem where large batches could not be processed by the document import service because the CommandTimeout configuration was ignored by bulk load operations Resolve a problem introduced in that prevented documents without file name extensions from being written to CAS Resolved a problem where Capture allowed documents to be appended without first choosing a form type Resolved a problem where keyword services could not be restarted from the web administration page the very first time after an install The content server install now preserves custom service startup policy.
