1 PERSONAL INFORMATION Full name: Date of birth: Citizenship: Home address: Guillaume Vilain December 6, 1981 French 13/15 Avenue des Gobelins Paris France PRESENT EMPLOYMENT Postdoctoral Position, AWARE EU Project Université Pierre et Marie Curie UMR 7619 Sisyphe Tour 56/55 4 ème étage, boîte Paris Phone : [email protected] SHORT BIO With a background in environmental science, I currently hold a Postdoctoral position at the UMR Sisyphe, Pierre & Marie Curie University. I earned my MSc in Environmental Science with thesis on whether nitrous oxide emissions where variable depending on the landscape position and in which order the indirect emissions account to the global budget. My thesis was on the study of the nitrous oxide emissions, at different scales: (i) process scale with batchs slurries, (ii) observation scale, taking in account direct emissions from soils and indirect emissions from aquifers and surface waters and (iii) model scale, with the use of statistical models and the process-based NOE2 model. In the framework of my current postdoctoral fellow for the EU Aware program, I compare emissions of N 2O and other GHG under conventional and organic agriculture, as well as nitrate leaching. RESEARCH INTERESTS Nitrogen and carbon cycles; greenhouse gases emissions and transfer into aquifers; groundwater and rivers water quality; riparian systems; bacterial processes of nitrification and denitrification; hydrology; ecology; modeling.
2 HIGHER EDUCATION : PhD in Biogeochemistry of Soils and Hydrosystems. University Pierre et Marie Curie. Dissertation: N 2O emissions in an extensive agricultural area (Brie, Seine Basin). Observations, experimentations and modelling in an aquatic continuum plateau - riparian zone - river.
