1 Siena Outside School Hours Care Vacation Care Programme It is with great pleasure that we offer our exciting and interesting Vacation Care Program. Our program includes many and varied activities, excursions and incursions to cater for the individual needs of the children attending the program. Siena OSHC aims to provide quality care for all children attending Siena Catholic School and for those in the wider community. Gemini Williams is our Service Coordinator and is responsible for the effective operations of the service. Gemini is supported by Antonella Muscat Area Supervisor for Centacare Child Care Services.

2 Vacation Care Program Details Hours of operation: 7.00am to 6.00pm Where: 58 Sippy Downs Drive, Sippy Downs 4556 Contact Number: Booking Details: Bookings are essential prior to your child attending the program. On enrolment into the Vacation Care Program your booking becomes permanent. Failure to give notice of non-attendance on booked days will still incur the normal fee per day. Casual bookings may be available only if vacancies exist. Vacation Care fees Normal in-house Days: Permanent $42 Casual $45 Additional Costs Incursion Days: $5 to $25 Excursion Day: $25 to $30

We will have our very own Sing Star and a large range of songs to choose from. Wednesday 9 Dec Extra Cost: $30.00 Australia Zoo We are off to explore Australia Zoo together. We depart at 8.30am and return by 3.30pm Thursday 10 Dec Wet & Wild Water bombs, Slippery slide, water pistols, bubble machine and a slushy Machine to create the ultimate water play day. Friday 11 Dec Outdoor Sports Day Plenty of Icy poles to keep cool throughout the day. Monday 14 Dec Make your own Monster Sundae Your choice from a range of lollies, mouth-watering sauces and a large selection of Ice Cream and Sorbet Tuesday 15 Dec Extra Cost $10.00 Bricks for kids Not to be missed! Come and build unique creations and have loads of fun using Lego Bricks. Wednesday 16 Dec Bike & Scooter Day Bring your bike, scooter or skateboard for a fun day of riding. Helmets and closed in shoes are essential. Thursday 17 Dec Geckoes Wildlife A fun presentation along with many fantastic friendly animals. Friday 18 Dec Extra Cost: $5.00 Entertainment Day & Sausage Sizzle

4 Monday 21 December Old MacDonald s Farm Fun Interactive animal experience for all ages. Tuesday 22 December Clay Sculptures Children create their own sculptures then paint them. Children can add their own personal touch, i.e.-glitter, wobbly eyes. Wednesday 23 December Chocolate Moulds Make delicious tiny treats with a range of our desert moulds. Thursday 24 December Christmas Craft & Entertainment Friday 25 December Closed

7 Additional information Dinosaurs - Our Dinosaur Incursion will bring prehistoric life into our service, taking children back millions of years to discover the wonder of the Dinosaurs. Australia Zoo We are off to explore Australia Zoo We Depart Siena at 8.30 am by bus and will return by 3.30 pm Children will need to bring a packed lunch, a drink bottle, hat and closed in shoes. Bricks for kids A variety of stations are setup where children can come and build unique creations and have loads of fun. Geckoes Wildlife A fun presentation long with many fantastic friendly animals Old MacDonald s Farm- A fun Interactive animal experience where children can bottle feed, hand feed and brush the animals. Kawana Aquatic Centre We will spend two exciting hours split between the giant inflatable pool toy and swimming. Numbers are capped for maximum safety. Life guards will supervise the activity. We Depart Siena at 8.30am by bus and will return by 12.30pm Children will need to bring a packed lunch, a drink bottle, hat and closed in shoes. Cha Cha Show - Lisa and Cha Cha now spend their days visiting schools to introduce the children to the Cha Cha and Friends book series as well as to educate them about the important work that Guide Dogs do within our community. Lisa is also passionate about encouraging children to write and publish their own stories, conducting educational workshops on the creative writing process. Plaster Models Children get to choose 3D plaster Model to paint. Once their plaster model is dry their model will then be varnished. Children can take their model home. Remember Outdoor play means you need a hat Without a sun-safe hat you will not be allowed to play in all areas. Sun Safety is a policy of the service. Children are remaindered that sun safe, appropriate outdoor clothing (i.e. covers children s shoulders) is to be worn at all times to minimise the risk of sun exposure.

8 Closed in shoes is also a requirement as we do lots of activities which require the safety of shoes. On excursions it is essential that all children wear enclosed shoes and have a hat. Sneakers and socks are the best option as we are doing many sporting activities and excursions that involve walking. Sunscreen requirements Sunscreen will be supplied for all outdoor activities unless your child has a special sunscreen requirement then you will need to supply your own. Please bring food unless program indicates otherwise Children are required to bring all food and drink for the day.
