Sludge Trap Tank with Basket Filter included, ECODEPUR SPT According with European Standard
INTRODUCTION The Sludge Trap Tank with Basket Filter included, ECODEPUR SPT are equipments appropriated to the treatment of wastewater contaminated with sludge and sand, according with European Standard It can be used as a primary treatment system, used before Light liquid Separators or others wastewater treatment systems. This system has included a basket filter, improving the reduction of organic matter and the retention of suspended solids. The sludge trap process works in two phases, solids retention and settlement. The Sludge Trap Tank with Basket Filter included, ECODEPUR SPT are equipments appropriated to the treatment of wastewater contaminated with sludge and sand, according with European Standard It can be used as a primary treatment system, used before Light liquid Separators or others wastewater treatment systems has CE marking, in accordance with the legal obligations that stems from the entry into force of the Directive 89/106/EEC on Construction Products, fulfilling all the requisites of the European Standard EN
Initial type testing, Watertightness, structural behavior, hydraulic efficiency and nominal capacity, were made by AIMPLAS Instituto Tecnológico del Plástico Notified Body n.º 1842, (Parque Gustavo Eiffel, 4, 46980, Valência Espanha), and are describe in the Report AT- 0375/11. The raw material used (Linear Polyethylene) was tested by an independent entity, in line with the requirements of Standard EN , guaranteeing high mechanical resistance and corrosion protection. The equipment production under controlled conditions, the use of quality raw materials and the finished product inspection, in accordance with the demands of ISO Standard 9001:2008, guarantee the final product quality. The Sludge Trap Tank with incorporated Grid system, ECODEPUR SPT Separators has 5 Year Guarantee against any manufacturing defects. FEATURES CE Marking according EN ; Materiel Tested in Accordance With EN and EN ; Basket filter included, high quantity of suspended solids retention; High mechanical resistance and corrosion protection; Light and easy to install and maintain; Totally watertight Vent Point Without power consumption; Low cost; Without odors when correctly ventilated. MAIN CHARACTERISTICS Primary treatment of wastewater contaminated with sludge and sand; Manufactured with anti-uv additive, by rotomoulding system, that gives a high mechanical resistance and corrosion protection to the equipment; Polyethylene Cover 400 mm; Basket filter included.
OPERATION The operation of the The Sludge Trap Tank with Basket Filter included, ECODEPUR SPT is based on two different process: - Solids retention: The basket filter permits the solids retention; - Settlement: the sludge and sand settles, occurring the separation between the liquid and solid faze.

INSTALLATION The installation of the Sludge Trap Tank with Basket Filter included, ECODEPUR SPT, shall follow the procedures down below: Make an excavation with following size: a) Length (Le ) m b) Width (D ) m The excavation depth must be defined case-by-case, depending on the installation hydraulic profile. When the equipment is to be installed NOT BURIED our technical services must be contacted (internal and external pressures always have to be in balance). 2. Excavation base should be perfectly levelled and compacted by mechanical means; 3. In normal areas (without high groundwater level and/or clay soil), create a bed in minimum of 15 cm of sand mixed with cement, in the following proportions: 50 Kg of cement to 1 m3. In high groundwater areas and/or in clay soils, should be used concrete C12/15 to give greater sustainability to the base. 4. After used concrete, create a bed in minimum of 10cm of sand. 5. Place the separator in the excavation (due to its low weight, the equipment can be fitted without using machines), taking into account the direction of flow of input / output; 6. Fill it with clean water through the input pipe, as shown in the diagram below and simultaneously burying the equipment successive layers of 30 cm, as shown in section 7: 7. In normal areas - Bury the equipment with sand until the pipes level and compact with water. The sand must be mixed with cement in the proportion of 100 Kg of cement for 1 m 3 of sand. In high groundwater areas and/or in clay soils, it must be buried in sand up to its centre line and compacted with water. In these cases the sand must be mixed with cement in the proportion of 200Kg of cement to 1m 3 of sand. 8. When the equipment is installed in an concrete box, the gap between the equipment and the walls shall be completed with sand following the methodology set out in paragraphs 6 and 7, so that the internal and external pressures are always balanced, a drain should be performed box; 9. Connect the inlet and outlet pipes and cover the equipment with sand (the maximum height of sand over the separator should not exceed 30 cm). Do not start operations for one week, to allow the sand to settle.
10. When vehicles are expected to cross over the installation area, or the land height over the equipment is more than 30 cm, there are two options: Land firm areas A suitable slab must be laid, supported on firm outside areas, around the surface of the equipment. Less firm areas - A simple box should be built from bricks or concrete rings, to avoid pressure being transferred to the equipment. The gap between the equipment and the walls shall be completed with sand 11. In areas more than 30 cm deep, the inspection box must be seated on the protecting slab, never supported directly on the tank. 12. Installation of the equipment should allow access of people in all areas to perform maintenance equipment, in safe conditions. Don't use excavation soils, debris or other not specified material, in the equipment installation MAINTENANCE The Sludge Trap Tank with Basket Filter included, ECODEPUR SPT does not need special care from a structural point of view, due to the high resistance and corrosion protection of the material from which they are made. Periodical remove of the solids in the basket filter and Sludge accumulated in the bottom of the equipment. ECODEPUR recommend a 1 or 2 annual check, Sludge settle in the bottom shouldn t achieve more than 50 % of the equipment volume. GUARANTEE Five (5) years, covering any manufacturing defects. ECODEPUR S.A. will be responsible for introducing corrective measures aimed at correct equipment operation, if necessary. ECODEPUR S.A. will not be responsible if there are clear indications of poor installation, misuse or poor maintenance.
