Managed budgets totaling $335,000, authored proposals/progress reports for the New York State Education Dept. and private foundations. Served as Chair of the Pre-College Programs Advisory Committee Research Technician, Morehouse College, Biology Department, Atlanta, GA Performed basic research on nucleic acid (plasmid DNA) replication in Escherichia coli. Taught the required research methods laboratory course to undergraduate biology majors, advised on experimental protocol for a 6-scientist laboratory and supervised students in experimental molecular biology. Advisor to pre-health professions undergraduate students. Made presentations at regional and national meetings of American Society for Microbiology.
