Connections Power connector DVI and HDMI Network port Audio breakout 1.1 How to power on the device To power on the server press the green tick button on the front right of the server. 1.2 How to power off the device To power off the device press the Red Cross on the front right of the server. 2. Networking 2.1 How to set a static IPV4 Address 1. Click Start, click Control Panel, click Network and Internet, click Network and Sharing Center and then click Change Adapter Settings. Page 3 of 11

4 2. Right-click the connection to which you want to add a static IP address and then click Properties. 3. In Local Area Connection Properties, in This connection uses the following items, select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4), and then click Properties. The Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) Properties dialog box opens. 4. Click Use the following IP address, and do the following: o For a local area connection, in IP address, Subnet mask, and Default gateway, type the IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway addresses. 5. Click Use the following DNS server addresses. In Preferred DNS server and Alternate DNS server, type the primary and secondary DNS server addresses. Page 4 of 11

Webpage 3.1 Login Internal Access To access the multiple IFB server on the local machine open a web browser and navigate to :8080, or use the shortcut on the desktop Remote Access To connect to the IFB webpage you will need the go to xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8080 where xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is the IP address of the multiple IFB server The default username is admin with the password admin. 6 3.2 Channels Page The channels page shows all available channels as well as their status. 3.3 Channel Configuration Each channel can be configured by pressing the will open up the channel configuration menu. button next to the channel name. 7 3.3.2 How to change the input source To change the input source select the required input from the drop down menu. The list of available inputs is populated by the recording devices in windows How to change the input channel (Left /Right) To change the input channel select either left or right from the channel drop down box. This parameter allows you to specify which mono audio stream will be used for this talkback channel. 'Left' is typically the first stream of audio, and 'Right' is typically the second. 3.4 Advanced channel settings To access the advanced settings you must first open up the channel configuration menu. Within the channel configuration menu you will need to press the button to load the advanced menu options How to change the internal URL of the channel The URL entered in the URL box will be need ot be the internal URL of the server. This will need ot be set on all channels How to change the audio profile to be used To change the audio profile select the required LC (AAC-LC) or HE (HE-AAC) or HE-AAC version 2) from the drop down box. When streaming to the iphone applications, the LC profile MUST be used How to change the audio bitrate The audio bitrate can be changed by enterer a number between (15.625kbp/s) and (250kbp/s). 8 3.4.5 How to change the announce IP (internal) The announce IP address will automatically be created when you save the internal URL How to enable TCP transmission To enable the IFB to send the data using TCP select yes from the TCP drop down box How to change the stream URL The stream URL will be used by the android or apple clients to connect onto the channel. This will need to be the IP address which the client will use to connect onto the server. Page 8 of 11

9 3.5 User administration Page The IFB administration page will allow you to create, edit and remove accounts. The IFB administration page can be accessed by pressing the Admin link on the top bar of the webpage How to Create a New User To create a new account press the page. Enter valid user details button located in the administrator commands section of the Administrator Administrator accounts have full access to the webpage and additionally can be used to update the IFB information on the iphone and Android. User User accounts can only be used on iphone or android devices to update the IFB information How to edit a user To remove a user press the account Remove a User To remove a user press the their account button next to their button next to Caution: Removing accounts is permanent and irreversible. 10 4. IFB application 4.1 How to connect to the IFB server To connect onto the IFB server you will need to connect to the IP address of the server to download the connection information file. To enter the IP address please press the settings button on the device. You will now need to change the IP address to that of your server keeping it in the format The username and password will need to be supplied by your IFB system administrator, the default username is user and the default password is user. After entering the correct details press update to download the latest server configuration file. 4.2 How to connect to a channel To connect onto a channel press the connect button next to the channel name. Please allow up to 20 seconds for the device to connect. 4.3 How to update channel settings The channel settings on the mobile applications will need to be updated if there have been any changes. To update the channel go to the settings menu and press the update button. Page 10 of 11

11 5. Troubleshooting Issue Cause Resolution Audio input not working Channel showing as inactive No audio from mobile Other issues The multiple IFB uses AES audio. If you are trying to use analogue audio no audio will be heard. A channel will show as inactive if the internal server URL is incorrect The mobile application will need to be updated if any changes are made to the server. If you are experiencing any other issues please contact Quicklink support Connect an AES audio source to the server. Check the internal server URL for the channel is correct.
