Those who have a medical certificate stating they are not able to wear earrings due to medical reasons.

19 Hair Must be well-styled, neat, tidy, and combed away from the face. Length should NOT exceed the top of shirt collar. Use minimal amount of styling gel/cream. Males with natural graying hair are not required to color their hair. If using hair color, it must be natural and must be maintained

21 Hair Styles NOT Permitted Spiky, Overly-gelled, oily, wet-look hair, Close shaven and Crew cut
22 Watches Moderate size, plain design (no diamonds or colored stones) Straps must be in black, brown, silver or gold Dial must be white, black, silver, or gold White straps or gimmicky watches are not permitted.
23 RINGS. Plain single band ring of not more than ½ cm / 5 mm. in width Gold or silver Only two rings are allowed - one on each hand Should not be worn on the thumb or index finger
24 RINGS NOT PERMITTED. Rings with stones, diamonds, Puzzle rings Chunky or colored enamel rings
25 Neck Chains & Bracelets are not allowed
26 SUNGLASSES Must be plain in style Frames must be in neutral colors such as black, brown, silver or gold Must not be worn inside the aircraft or airport terminal building Must not be worn on top of the head Must not be attached to a neck chain or cord or hooked to the uniform.
27 SPECIAL PERMISSION Shoes/Cabin Shoes Doctor s prescription must be submitted to Grooming Officer to be permitted to use alternate shoes Wedding ring May be worn in addition to the other two rings allowed. This ring may have a moderate sized stone. Letter to be obtained from Grooming Officer Max. of three rings Optical glasses/ lenses Letter from Grooming Officer must be obtained and carried at all times Optical glasses must be in gold, silver, black or brown frame Full, Half frame or rimless. Contact Lenses CLEAR Contact lenses only. No colored lenses

30 Uniform Hat Must be worn slightly center forward (1 finger horizontally above the brow) No hair should be visible on the forehead. Oryx badge displayed upright on the left hand side. Note: Crew are advised to store hats properly to prevent damage.
31 Uniform Hat Worn whenever in view of the public Remove hat: After aircraft door/s closed During pre-flight briefing Inside classroom during training Summer pre-flight preparation
32 Uniform Jacket To be worn with all buttons fastened. Dry Clean only Summer Schedule Jackets are NOT to be worn from the last Sunday of March to the last Saturday of October. Winter Schedule: Jackets to be worn from the last Sunday of October to the last Saturday of March Note: Crew are advised to hang their jackets to prevent any creasing and damage.
33 Uniform Jacket Summer Schedule During the summer season, when operating to stations/destinations:europe,usa, South Africa (JNB/CPT), Kenya (NBO) South Korea (ICN), North Asia (Japan, China, Russia), the jacket will be carried in Doha and worn only if the Flight Commander decides to do so. IRAN: (IKA & MHD) Jacket must be carried at all times but worn only when required to disembark from the aircraft Hejab issued by Iran s Ground Staff must be worn when female Cabin Crew have to leave the aircraft. * Released August Qatar Airways Standards and Procedures Office
34 Uniform Blouse Dry-cleaned or washed regularly Worn with all buttons fully fastened Name badge on the LHS
35 Camisole Worn in addition to other standard undergarments Must be worn when using the new uniform blouse Plain, skin tone shades only (natural beige or tan) Undergarments Must be worn at all times when in uniform Plain, skin tone shades only (natural beige or tan)
36 Uniform Scarf (for CSD/CS only) Dry clean only Must be worn at all times with or without the jacket To be taken off prior to wearing the dining jacket To be re-worn when the dining jacket is removed prior to landing.
37 Name Badge Should be worn on jacket, blouse, and dining jacket LHS. Replace immediately, when lost or damaged. Order from the Uniforms Office. Cost deducted from Cabin Crew salary

40 Shoes Only company issued shoes must be worn whenever in uniform Must be polished Must be in good condition Hosiery (Stockings/ Tights) Must be plain, matt in skin tone (neutral, beige or tan) Constantly check for holes and ladders Must be worn when in uniform If stockings are worn, garter belt must not be visible through the skirt Knee-highs are permitted when using trousers. Ankle length socks are not permitted with trousers Always carry a spare pair of hosiery
41 Cabin Shoes Company issue only Must be well polished and in good condition Always worn with dining jacket when seat belt sign is switched off Change to ground shoes when seatbelt sign is turned on for landing
42 Handbag Used only when in uniform Must be carried by the handle and not to be worn over the shoulder. Must be free from stickers and hanging key chains Must be in good condition Must not be overfilled

44 Uniform Jacket Dry-clean only Worn with upper button fastened and lower button left unfastened Name badge LHS Summer Schedule Jackets are NOT to be worn from the last Sunday of March to the last Saturday of October. Winter Schedule: Jackets to be worn from the last Sunday of October to the last Saturday of March.

49 Dining Jacket Worn with ALL buttons fastened Name badge on LHS Worn after Seatbelt sign is turned OFF for service duties. Removed when Seatbelt sign is switched ON for landing Must be worn on ground for meal service due to extended delay
50 Name Badge Should be worn on jacket, shirt, and dining jacket LHS. Replace immediately, when lost or damaged. Order from the Uniforms Office. Cost deducted from Cabin Crew salary
51 Epaulettes Correctly and neatly displayed on the shirt with the ORYX facing inwards
52 Uniform Trousers Well fit but loose enough to be comfortable Length should be at mid-part of the back of the shoes Back pocket empty and button fastened Worn with uniform belt
53 Socks Plain black No patterns or logos of any kind or color Shoes Only company issued shoes must be worn when in uniform Must be polished (use wax polish ONLY) Must be in good condition
54 Strolley / Garment bag Company issue only Must be in good condition No stickers, or chains With QR Crew luggage tag Only ONE piece allowed in the cabin When the Garment bag is used, it must be carried by the handle and not to be worn over the shoulder.
55 Contents of Strolley Bag Required service manuals Spare uniform blouse/ shirt. Spare Undergarments Toiletries ( includes shaving kit for Males) Cosmetics ( for females) Civilian clothes ( Smart Casual or Business Attire)
56 Uniform Suitcase Company issue only Must be clean & clear of stickers Must have a QR Crew Luggage tag Must be in good condition Only ONE piece allowed to be checked-in.
57 Company Policies
58 Long Transit Time Jackets and Hat On flights with long transit time and Cabin Crew are allowed to use the Airport Lounge; Cabin Crew are allowed to remove jackets and their hats while resting inside the Airport Lounge. Note: Proper decorum must be observed at all times and use of mobile phones is strictly prohibited. DOH/Outstations: Changing into civilian clothes at the Technical Building or at any airport is strictly prohibited.
59 When in UNIFORM Shopping is restricted to hotel and airport shops. Eating or drinking in public is not permitted except in coffee shop or restaurant of Crew Layover hotel or airport. During flight- eating & drinking must be done in the galley area only. Entering a bar is prohibited. Alcohol must not be consumed. Chewing gum is prohibited. SMOKING is prohibited. USE of mobile phones or any entertainment gadgets are not permitted
60 When NOT in UNIFORM Off Duty Uniform must NOT be worn after duty and in layover stations Changing into civilian clothes at Technical Bldg or at any airport is strictly prohibited. Visiting QR Premises Cabin Crew must use Business or very smart casual attire
61 Deadheading Cabin Crew Report in complete QR Cabin Crew Uniform; After take-off and once fasten seatbelt sign is switched offchange into civilian clothes. At top of descent- when seat belt sign is switched on for landingchange into uniform. Crew Rest Attire The standard clothing for all Cabin Crew during rest period using crew rest beds is governed by modesty, comfort, neatness and is as follows: Full sleeve shirt/polo shirt Full length pajama/ track pants See- through sleeping clothes are not permitted All clothing must be in decent condition (i.e no holes, not faded etc.) Note: Female Crew clothing should have a modest neckline and must cover the midriff and back.
62 Offloading- Crew may be offloaded for: Skin allergy on face, hands and lower arm Severe acne Severe shaving rash (males) Cold sores around the mouth Severe styes Skin swelling caused by bites, sting or allergy to jewellery Black eye or facial injury Burns or scarring Wearing of bandages Tattoos / henna designs Weight gain/loss inability to fit into the uniform and inability to lose weight after monitoring period.
63 ATTIRE NOT ALLOWED Deadheading, Traveling during Leave and Days Off and Visiting QR premises JEANS of any kind/color Shorts Short skirts Low cut tops and blouses (females) Off-shoulder tops/ dresses or outfits that show the midriff Thin strapped, spaghetti strap tops/dresses See through or otherwise revealing clothing Tight trousers / cargo pants / track suit Tight skirts Leggings Baseball caps Trainers/ Rubber Shoes Vests/tank tops, camisoles and sleeveless tops T-shirts/ athletic wear * Released Ammended August November Qatar Airways Standards and Procedures Office
64 New & Old Uniform New uniform items must not be used with old uniform items Old uniform items must be returned to the Uniforms Office. Alterations Alterations must be authorized by the Uniforms Office in coordination with the Grooming Officers.
