5 The OneClickdigital platform provides different resources for listening to audio books and reading various titles. This document is pertinent to the OneClickdigital eaudio product and detailed information is provided. eaudio: Downloadable version of an audiobook. Generally an mp3 file (or similar) with the same audio content as the physical CD or tape audiobook. With this technology, the OCD platform allows users to listen to titles seamlessly through the OCD MediaManager application or transfer them to many mobile devices. Recorded Books, L.L.C. 5

6 There are two options for listening to eaudio titles: - Personal Computer (PC) - Mobile Devices PC Windows Hardware A PC with a 1GHz Intel or AMD Processor Intel Pentium D or faster processor is required to play Standard Definition video from the itunes Store Mac Hardware The OneClickdigital Media Manager from the Mac App Store is compatible for Mac OS X and higher. Mobile Devices Android The OneClickdigital Media Manager app from the Google Play store is designed to be compatible with Android operating system 2.1 and higher. iphone, itouch, & ipad Recorded Books, L.L.C. 6

7 The OneClickdigital Media Manager from the itunes App Store is compatible with Apple devices on ios 4.3 and higher. Kindle Fire and Kindle Fire HD The OneClickdigital Media Manager from the Amazon Android App Store is compatible with the Kindle Fire and Kindle Fire HD. If you are using OneClickdigital for the first time, you will need to create a new account. Please follow these steps: 1. Go the OneClickdigital website provided by your library. 2. Click on the Create a New Account link. 3. Complete the form to create your new account. a. ***To obtain the Library Access Code or Library Card Number please contact your specific library. 8 1. Click on the Getting Started link located towards the top of the page. 2. On the left side of the page, click the pertinent OneClickdigital MediaManager icon to download the application. Windows PC: MAC PC: 3. Follow the download instructions and install the application onto your PC. Recorded Books, L.L.C. 8

9 This chapter will provide detailed steps for accessing and listening to eaudio titles from your PC. The mobile device process is discussed in the next chapter eaudio for Mobile Devices. Please follow the steps below to checkout an eaudio title. 1. Go the OneClickdigital website by accessing the link provided by your library s website. 2. Click Login. 3. Enter in your user credentials and then click the Login button. ***If you have forgotten your password, click the Forgot your password? link and enter in your address to receive an updated password. 10 1. Search for an eaudio title. Titles that are available in eaudio format will have an eaudio icon located under the title art. You can use the Quick Search or the Advanced Search to locate a title. ***The OneClickdigital website contains both ebooks and eaudio titles. For ease of searching since this manual pertains to eaudio, you can set the site s filter to eaudio only. 2. Click your title of interest. Recorded Books, L.L.C. 10

11 3. Select the number of Checkout for days. 4. Click the Checkout Now! Button. Recorded Books, L.L.C. 11

12 Once you have checked out the title, OneClickdigital MediaManager application will automatically launch. If it does not open automatically, simply open the application manually from your PC. 1. Log into the application using the same user credentials from the OneClickdigital website. i. Remember Password Checkbox: Checking this box allows the MediaManager application to store your user name and password so that you will not have to enter in your credentials upon reopening. ii. Automatic Login Checkbox: Checking this box automatically logs you into the application once launched. 2. Click the Login button. Recorded Books, L.L.C. 12

13 Once logged into the MediaManager application, your checked out title should be displayed under the Check Outs tab. *** If you don t see your title listed, there may be a latency issue. Simply click the Refresh button located at the top of the application. To play a title: Click the Play button next to the title. Recorded Books, L.L.C. 13

14 The Play button is also located at the top of the application. o You can control the title s playback. 1. Previous: Goes back a chapter. 2. Rewind: Winds back playback of the title. 3. Fast Forward: Advances rapidly, while simultaneously playing the chapter at a high-speed. 4. Next: Skips to the next chapter. 5. Volume: Controls the sound of the title. To select a specific chapter, click on the Chapter button and select from the dropdown list. Recorded Books, L.L.C. 14

15 You can also change the playback speed of the title by clicking the Speed button and select from the dropdown list. To transfer a title: 1. Plug in your mobile/mp3 device. 2. Once your device is plugged in, click the Transfer button next to the title that you would like to transfer. The Transfer button may show as Download and Transfer instead. The reason is because the title has not yet been downloaded to your PC. Simply click on the Download and Transfer button and the title will first download and then transfer. 16 If you have multiple devices plugged in, the Device Picker will appear. Simply select the device that you would like to transfer your title to. 3. Patiently wait while the title transfers, and unplug and listen to your title once you receive the confirmation message from the application. If you would like to extend the check-out period for your title, simply click on the Renew button next to your title. The renewal period is determined by your library. Please contact your librarian for any questions in reference to the renewal period. Recorded Books, L.L.C. 16

17 To return a title, simply click on the Return button next to your title. Once the title is returned or the check-out has expired, it will be automatically removed from your PC and your mobile device (if you transferred to a device.) If a title was transferred to your mobile device, simply plug it into your pc and your device will be refreshed with the title removed. To access your preferences, click on Preferences from the application s menu bar. Recorded Books, L.L.C. 17

18 1. When you first check out a title, you are given the option to automatically download all titles through the application. Select the Yes radio button if you would like the titles to start downloading as soon as the app is opened. Select the No radio button if you would like to initiate the download by pressing the Play button next to the title. Select the Ask button if you would like to be prompted once the application is launched. 2. If you have an Apple device that you are transferring your titles to, select the Yes radio button. If you are transferring to a non-apple product, select the No radio button. 3. If you prefer to use ITunes as your default media type for audio files, select the Yes radio button. If not, select the No radio button. 4. This option is important if you have a non-apple device. If this is so, select the No option since most of these devices take WMA files. Select Yes if you have an Apple device. Once you re done setting your preferences, click the Update button. Recorded Books, L.L.C. 18

19 If you would like to check out another title, you can start directly from the MediaManager application in lieu of starting from the OneClickdigital website. 1. Type in the name of the title that you would like to search for in the Search Bar. 2. Click on the Search Icon. 3. Reference section Checkout an eaudio Title if needed to check out the title. a. You can also click the Browse Website link and you will be taken directly to the OneClickdigital website. Recorded Books, L.L.C. 19

20 File Menu: Allows you to Log out or exit the application. o You can also logout by click the Logout link located at the top right-side of the app. Sleep Menu: Allows you to set a time for the application to go into sleep mode. Help Menu: Will take you directly to the help page on the OneClickdigital website. Refresh Button: Clicking this will refresh the app and ensures that your titles are kept up to date. o Sometimes, the Refresh button may show as Syncing. This is because the application does a random sync to ensure that the application is kept up to date. Position Bar: Allows you to select the playing position. Recorded Books, L.L.C. 20

21 Holds Tab: Shows the list of titles that were placed on hold through the OneClickdigital website. Wish List Tab: Shows the list of titles that were placed on your wish list through the OneClickdigital website. History Tab: Shows the history of titles that were previously checked out. The checkout process is the same as the automated process but if you would like to download the zip files to manually manager your audio files, you have to change your preferences. 1. From the home page, click on My Account. 2. Click on the Preferences tab. Recorded Books, L.L.C. 21

22 3. Under eaudio Preferences, select the Use Manual Download radio button. 4. Click the Update Preferences button located at the bottom of the screen. 5. Search for an eaudio title of interest. a. Remember, titles that are eaudio specific are denoted by the icon. b. Or, you can Filter the site to only show eaudio titles. 6. Once you have identified your title, open it. 23 7. Select the number of days that you would like to check out the title. 8. Click the Checkout NOW! Button. 9. Open the zip file from your downloads folder through your web browser or desktop. The Download Now feature is available when you need to download your checked out title again. (For example, to access the zip files again). To access Download Now: 1. 24 2. With the Checked Out tab displayed, click the Download Now button next to your checked out title. Recorded Books, L.L.C. 24

25 This chapter will provide detailed steps for accessing and listening to eaudio titles from your mobile device. There are two different versions of the eaudio app for both Android and Apple devices. Although there are subtle nuances between the two, (i.e. icons, shading, buttons, etc.) the functionality works the same. 1. Go to your device s app store. i. If you are using an Android device, go to the Google Play Store. ii. If you are using an Apple device, go the App Store. 2. Search for OneClickdigital. 3. Download and install the application on your mobile device. 4. Once OneClickdigital is installed on your device, launch the app. 1. Once the app is launched, enter in your Region and then click the Done button located at the top right corner of the app. Recorded Books, L.L.C. 25

26 2. Enter in your OneClickdigital username and password and then click the Login button. ***Select the Remember Credentials checkbox to automatically login when you re-launch the app. The app will also store your username and password. 3. If prompted, select your pertinent library and then click Login. Recorded Books, L.L.C. 26

27 4. You should be directed to the My titles page. 1. From the My Titles landing page, click on Browse More Titles located at the bottom of the page. You will be directed to the Browse page shown below. Recorded Books, L.L.C. 27

28 2. Search for a title to check out and click on the image title art. ***eaudio titles are denoted by the icon. 3. On the right-side of the page, select the number of check-out days. 4. Then click the Checkout Now button. 5. Click the Close button of the browse window. 6. The title should be listed under the My Titles landing page. ***If the title is not listed, simply drag and release the landing page to initiate a refresh. The title should then be listed. If you are using an Android device, click the Refresh icon located at the top left corner of the app. Recorded Books, L.L.C. 28

29 The Download All feature allows you to download all checked out titles that have not yet been downloaded. You must have a Wi-Fi connection to download all titles. ***The use of this feature is optional. Titles will still download once you play them individually. 1. Click on Download All. 2. Click Download All Items in the pop-up window. 3. A window will appear showing the download status. 4. Once completed, click OK within the Download Complete window. Recorded Books, L.L.C. 29

30 To view a title s detail information, simply click on the title from the My Titles landing page. From there, you will be able to see title information such as Author, Narrator, Publisher, Summary, etc. Recorded Books, L.L.C. 30

31 Player Progress Bar Table of Contents Play Title Detail Previous Volume Bar Rewind Pause/ Play Fast- Next Forward Bookmark To play a title, simply click on the Play icon next to the title to launch the OCD Media Player. You will be presented with several options to control the title s playback. Use the diagram above for assistance. Previous: Goes to the previous chapter. Next: Goes to the next chapter. Volume: Control the sound levels of the title. Bookmark: Saves a specific position within the chapter for later access. Saved bookmarks can be found under Table of Contents (Top Right Corner of the app). Rewind: Rewinds to specific portions of the current chapter. Play/Pause: Allows you to Pause the title currently playing or Play to resume title playback. Fast-Forward: Skips to specific portions of the current chapter. Title Detail: View information about the title playing. Recorded Books, L.L.C. 31

32 Player Progress Bar: Can change current position of playback. Table of Contents: Shows Bookmarks, Chapters, and what is currently playing The Table of Contents option includes three (3) sections: 1. Now Playing: Shows the users the title s playing progress. 2. Bookmarks: Shows a list of sections that were bookmarked using the OCD Media player. 3. Chapters: Shows the list of Chapters downloaded to the Mobile app. Once downloaded, users can select any Chapter to play. Recorded Books, L.L.C. 32

33 Titles cannot be returned through the Android app. You must use an external web browser either from your device or PC and access the OneClickdigital website to return the title. To return a title: 1. Go to the My Titles landing page. 2. Find the title that you would like to return, touch it, and swipe to the left. 3. Once the Return Now button is presented, click it.
