2 dieťaťa, 40, 2005, č. 2. s PERZISTENTNÍ VEGETATIVNÍ STAV U DĚTÍ: CHARAKTERISTICKÉ ZNAKY A PŘEDPOKLÁDANÝ VÝZNAM INTERAKCE MATKA-DÍTĚ TOMÁŠ RODNÝ - VLADIMÍR KOMÁREK - BOŘIVOJ PETRÁK - KATEŘINA RODNÁ Klinika dětské neurologie FN Motol, Praha 5 PERSISTENT VEGETATIVE STATE IN CHILDREN: CHARACTERISTIC SIGNS AND ASSUMED SIGNIFICANCE OF MOTHER-CHILD INTERACTION Abstract: The most significant craniocerebral injuries are often a result of the development of so-called Persistent Vegetative State (PVS). This state can be simply characterized as the absence of cortical functions - the patient has open eyes staring to emptiness, they are not fixed to the surrounding world; the patient has characteristic possession of extremities; there are no emotional reactions, etc. The patient finds himself/herself in a seemingly paradoxical state - in coma while simultaneously being wakeful. The existing studies dedicated to the influence of environment on patients in PVS have almost exclusively concentrated on the area of sensomotoric stimulation. This study, with use of the method of microanalysis of a video record, pays attention to spontaneous interaction between mother and child in PVS. On the basis of the previous clinical experience, the hypothesis on the existence and significance of unconscious intuitive parental behavior (described earlier in mother-infant interactions) in care for children in PVS was verified. In all six mothers of children in PVS, which were included in the study, it was possible to identify specific signs of this intuitive parental behavior. Key words: Persistent Vegetative State (PVS), intuitive parenting, mother-child interaction

3 dieťaťa, 40, 2005, č. 2, s , JAZYK - PREDMET I NÁSTROJ PSYCHOLOGICKÉHO BÁDANIA LENKA GOLECKÁ - OĽGA ÁROCHOVÁ Ústav experimentálnej psychológie SAV, Bratislava LANGUAGE - THE SUBJECT AND TOOL OF PSYCHOLOGICAL EXPLORATION Abstract: The presented study came into being as a contribution for an expert seminar dedicated to significant life and work jubilees of the three workers of the Institute of Experimental Psychology of the Slovak Academy of Sciences (UEPs SAV) - to PhDr. Oľga Árochová, CSc; Prof. PhDr. Damián Kováč, DrSc; PhDr. Michal Stríženec, DrSc. These, through their work, contributed on a long-term basis to the formation and profiling of ÚEPs SAV as a scientific and expert psychological workplace. The study offers the cumulative fragment of empirical information that mirrors the several-year intense study of language - with emphasis on the research of bilingualism - within the scope of the institute of Experimental Psychology of SAV in Bratislava. Key words: bilingualism, language, ÚEPs SAV

4 dieťaťa, 40, 2005, č. 2, s INTEGRÁCIA SLUCHOVO POSTIHNUTÝCH ŠTUDENTOV V STREDNÝCH ŠKOLÁCH OČAMI UČITEĽOV MONIKA GREGUSSOVÁ Výskumný ústav detskej psychológie a patopsychológie, Bratislava INTEGRATION OF HEARING-IMPAIRED STUDENTS AT SECONDARY SCHOOLS THROUGH EYES OF THEIR TEACHERS Abstract: Integration at secondary schools is a choice of life orientation for the hearing impaired, as well as their endeavor to be included in the majority population. 5 dieťaťa, 40, 2005, č. 2, s PSYCHODIAGNOSTICKÉ METODY V OBLASTI PSYCHOLOGIE DĚTÍ A DOSPÍVAJÍCÍCH MOJMÍR SVOBODA - PAVEL HUMPOLÍČEK - HELENA KLIMUSOVÁ Psychologický ústav Filozofické fakulty Masarykovy univerzity v Brně PSYCHODIAGNOSTIC METHODS IN THE AREA OF CHILD AND ADOLESCENT PSYCHOLOGY Abstract: Within the scope of the grant project, the three-year research was carried out the goal of which was to map the used, missing, and unaccepted psychodiagnostic methods in the area of applied psychology and research. The results are quite extensive and were largely published in the book Applied Psychodiagnostics in the Czech Republic (Svoboda, Řehan et al. 2004), also on the Internet ( Here are only some specific results included from the area of psychodiagnostics of children and adolescents, and their comparison with the data collected within the scope of the whole researched Czech psychologists population. Psychologists working with children and youth use most frequently the Raven's tests, Wechsler's tests, and Amthauer's Test of Intelligence Structure. In the diagnostic of personality, the supremacy belongs to the Tree Test and Drawing of a Figure, only then do follow questionnaire and other projective techniques. In the diagnostic of interpersonal characteristics, the overt dominance belongs to the Test of Family Relationships (Anthony-Bene). 6 dieťaťa, 40, 2005, č. 2, s TERAPIE DOBRODRUŽSTVÍM A JEJÍ PŘESAHY DO RODINNÉ TERAPIE IVO PLAŇAVA - JAKUB ŠINDLER Institut výzkumu dětí, mládeže a rodiny, FSS MU Brno ADVENTURE THERAPY AND ITS EXTEND TOWARD FAMILY THERAPY Abstract: The article offers views on the new area that has started to appear at the end of the past century in psychotherapeutic, counseling, and pedagogic scene. Adventure Therapy implies the use of demanding, almost risk activities with goal to strengthen abilities and develop skills to cope with demanding situations and also allow for emotional abreaction. Since the 1990's, there are attempts to connect Adventure Therapy with family therapy, especially with its strategic variant in the Minuchin's concept. This cross-connection brings a number of theoretical and practical, security and ethical questions. The presented article is dedicated to development and forms of Adventure Therapy up to the point of establishing a new area - Adventure Family Therapy, and it presents some foreign experience. The concluding notes evaluate the possibilities and limits of family therapy that use demanding or even adventurous situations. Key words: adventure therapy, family therapy, experiences education, therapeutically efficacious factors, adventure family therapy.
