2 General English Intermediate CEFR Level B1 CEFR start: A2+ CEFR end: B2 Syllabus M-F Open Course duration: 36 lessons 90 minutes each CA Institute of Languages Overview CA Institute s General English courses are designed for students who are seeking to further expand their understanding and fluency in the English language. Goals Students should be able to maintain conversations about a variety of subjects, as well as describe experiences, dreams, hopes and ambitions, and narrate events as a linear sequence of events. They will be able to understand written texts on subjects related to their own field of interest and follow the main points of extended discussion and radio news bulletins. They will also be able to write detailed descriptions and accounts of experiences, including their feelings and reactions. SOCIAL ENGLISH Listening practice and useful expressions: suggesting, advising, disagreeing, showing interest, etc. Intermediate level. VOCABULARY The EVP shows, in both British and American English, which words and phrases learners around the world know at each level - A1 to C2 - of the CEFR. Rather than providing a syllabus of the vocabulary that learners should know, the EVP project verifies what they do know at each level. Vocabulary quizzes organized according to topic: clothes/occupations/nationalities, etc. and level (easy/medium/difficult).
