2 An international colloquium on Oversight Over Public Procurements: European and International Perspectives will be held from October 22-23, 2007 in Paris. This Colloquium is jointly organized by the University of Paris 1 (UMR de Droit Comparé et Institut Tunc - Centre de Recherche de Droit Public conomique), Paris, France, and The George Washington University Law School (Government Procurement Law Program), Washington, D.C. We look forward to bringing together for the first time in Paris experts in public procurement law from Europe and the United States. We hope that this colloquium will spark lively discussions, nourish a healthy exchange of information regarding the formation and the administration of public contracts, and encourage a continuing dialogue between common law countries and civil law countries on emerging issues of procurement law.
