3 Propaganda (Germany) Most propaganda in Nazi Germany was made by the Ministry of Public Enlightenment and Propaganda. Joseph Goebbels was put in charge of it shortly after Hitler took power in Propaganda in Germany was mainly focused on reminding the people of the struggle of Germany and the Nazi s against foreign and internal enemies, especially the Jews.

4 Propaganda (United States) United States propaganda was mainly focused on making the enemy appear less than human, such examples would be portraying them as monkeys to make the enemy seem less human thus easier to kill.

5 Politicians involved in the war Sir Winston Churchill - Prime Minister of Great Britain during WWII General George S. Patton - Famous military leader during WWII that helped stop the German counterattack. Franklin D. Roosevelt - president of the U.S during WWII who commissioned the making of the atomic bomb and declared war on Japan after the incident at Pearl Harbor. Harry S. Truman - President during WWII after Roosevelt became ill. Was the president who gave the go ahead to drop the atomic bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Adolf Hitler - Dictator of Germany from Led the Nazis in an attempt to exterminate the Jewish people and gain more land for Germany. Joseph Stalin - Dictator of the Soviet Union during 1929 thru 1953.

6 The war efforts in the states Many women took over the jobs of the men who went to fight the war. Also food, gas, and clothings were rationed and communities conducted scrap metal drives. Japanese Americans were also stripped of their rights as citizens.

7 Communication between soldiers and their loved ones Soldiers communicated to their loved ones with letters and many soldiers had diaries. Letters were extremely important to soldiers and helped keep them motivated an reminded them of home.

8 American preparatory schools in the 1940s Preparatory schools were used to keep students at the school in dorms so that they may learn for long standing amount of time. Also these schools stressed the importance of physical fitness because they encouraged boys to enlist after they graduate.

12 Ground Attacks / Tanks They played a huge role in WWII, reaching new heights of capacities and technological advances. German tanks domiated all other rivals early in the war with their sheer power of production and their effective tactics and defeated by American forces by 1943 for these very reasons.

13 Ground Attack / Small Arms Small Arms During WWII, many of the American soldiers (and even some troops from other nations) were armed with semi-automatic weapons. Light machine guns were more widely used in this war than in previous conflicts and some troops predominantly the Soviets used submachine guns in WWII. Could be used to soften the ground an attack, set up to hold the front lines or called in from great ranges and at any time to support in face of heavy opposition or counter attack, field artillery often proved to be decisive in battle.

15 Ground attacks / aircraft Small, fast and deadly, fighters were quickresponse weapon, able to deploy actions at the moment of notice and powerful support weapon for vulnerable ground troops, bombers and ships. Their role was decisive in opening way for advancing troops
