5 Characteristics of ISOC-JP Has been operated totally voluntary manner Focus is not on the deployment of the Internet High Internet penetration rate in Japan. Act as consultative organization There are already so many Intenet-related organizations in Japan Collaborate with them to achieve ISOC mission 5

6 Example of collaboration: IGCJ IGCJ: Internet Governance Conference Japan launched in June 2014 for discussions in Japan on various issues on the Internet Governance. Purpose: To construct a firm base in Japan for well-informed considerations of Internet Governance issues As appropriate, to make recommendations on Internet Governance issues for in-country stakeholders and global arena 6 ISOC-JP actively supports its activities
