6 NMP 2013 topic for the EAST Countries II.4 Activity NMP Integration Deployment of societally beneficial nano- /or materials technologies in ICP countries The goal of this topic is to support sustainable development in ICP countries through the deployment of societally beneficial nano- /or materials technologies Activities may include, but are not limited to: Identification of tangible opportunities for pooling knowledge in the fields of: healthcare, clean energy, environment (including water); Networking of technology providers, representatives of ICP countries (scientists, industrialists, civil society representatives, decision makers) potential sponsors for the development of implementation mechanisms. Education, training exchange of scientists in the underlying technologies aiming at ensuring the sustainability further development of the proposed solutions; Organisation of a series of events. The targeted geographic areas are: Eastern Partnership countries, Mediterranean countries, African countries, Latin American countries, ASEAN A proposed support action may address one or more of above-mentioned geographic areas.

14 7PR: The basic principles Financing projects undertaken by international consortia (specific requirements) Financing projects must be in line with the EU thematic priorities in FP7 documents Selection of projects is done through calls for proposals. Announcement of the nearest call: 10 July 2012 Deadlines : 23 October, 4 December evaluation of submitted projects made by group of independent experts from different countries Completed projects are partially refunded, not all refunded Projects must have a European dimension, not only local. Applications are submitted to the Commission by the EPSS
