3 Show Rules & Regulations and Instructions to Exhibitors 1. The Show will be held under the rules of the Irish Kennel Club Limited. 2. The Show will be held at The National Show Centre, Cloghran, Co. ublin on Saturday 15th August, Judging will commence at 9.00 a.m in all rings including Obedience and Agility 3. No claim will be considered in the event of an exhibit being late for its class. No persons will be allowed into the judging ring except the Judge, Show Officials, or an Exhibitor taking a dog in for adjudication. The exhibit number of each dog must be clearly displayed by its handler. 4. In the event of any appointed Judge failing to keep his/her appointment, the Committee reserve the right to appoint another Judge or Judges. 5. The Committee reserve the right to alter the proposed order of judging if this should become necessary. 6. Entry Fees: First dog, / Stg Each subsequent dog: 8.00 / Stg Stakes Classes 5.00 / 4.00 Stg. Obedience: 6.00 / Stg 5.00 per class. Entries will be received up to and including Monday 20 th July, 2015 (Postal). Online entries will be taken until midnight on Monday 27 th July, 2015 at 7. The Committee reserve the right to reject any entry, advert or other insertion in the Catalogue. 8. Ineligible Entries. A transfer of an incorrect entry as to the sex or breed is allowed if reported to the Secretary s Office prior to commencement of judging. A dog entered in a class for which it is not eligible may be transferred to the Open Class in that breed, but in no other respects. 9. Registrations: All dogs entered for competition at this show must be registered at the IKC Ltd, Unit 36, Greenmount Office Park, Harold s Cross, ublin A Judge will be empowered to withhold any prizes of Green Stars if, in his or her opinion, the exhibits are not of sufficient merit. 11. The Catalogue will be available on the day of the show, price 4.00 / 3.00 or Prepaid with entries 3.00 / Car Park is FREE 13. The Catalogue will be compiled from the entry forms and while every effort will be made to have the forms correctly interpreted, the Committee cannot accept any responsibility for mistakes, which may bring exhibitors within the purview of the IKC Ltd., Rule 15, Section 1, or for clerical errors that may occur during compilation. 14. The Promoting ody will not be responsible for any loss or damage sustained through accident by exhibits, exhibitors, or other persons attending the Show. 15. 4 CLASS EFINITIONS (the word dog denotes both sexes) In the following definitions any award which counts towards the title of Champion under the rules of any Governing body recognised by the Irish Kennel Club will be regarded as the equivalent of a Green Star. Similarly, the title of Champion is continued as if it were attained under the rules of the Irish Kennel Club. aby Puppy Class is confined to puppies of four months of age and under six months of age on the first day of the show. A Puppy Class is confined to dogs of 6 months and under 12 months of age on the day of the Show computed from and inclusive of the date of its birth. A Junior Class is confined to dogs of between 9 and 18 months of age on the day of the Show computed from and inclusive of the date of its birth. An Intermediate Class is for dogs between 15 and 24 months of age on the day of the Show computed from and inclusive of the date of its birth. An Open Class is for dogs over 15 months of age on the first day of the Show computed from and inclusive of the date of its birth. A Champion Class is for dogs who have gained the Title of Champion under Irish Kennel Club Rules or under a recognised Kennel authority confirmed by the date of closing of entries of the show, ie. Friday 25th July, A Veteran Class is for dogs over 8 years of age on the day of the Show computed from and inclusive of the date of its birth. Note: (a) A Veteran dog/bitch who is also a Champion may entered in either Veteran or Champion but not both. (b) A og or itch may be entered in one breed class only. ogs under the age of six months are not allowed into the show grounds. All dogs entered must be registered or transferred at the Irish Kennel Club in the name of the exhibitor. PRE -EGINNERS Confined to dogs or handlers which have not been awarded two first prizes (on or under 10 marks) in any obedience test under Irish Kennel Club Rules or under any Kennel Club recognised by The Irish Kennel Club. EGINNERS OEIENCE CLASS Confined to dogs or handlers which have not been awarded an Obedience Green Star or awarded three or more first prizes (on or under 10 marks) in any obedience test under Irish Kennel Club Rules or under any Kennel Club recognised by The Irish Kennel Club. NOVICE OEIENCE CLASS Confined to dogs which have not been awarded an Obedience Green Star or four or more first prizes (on or under 10 marks under Irish Kennel Club regulations) in any Obedience class other than in eginners Obedience class. CLASS A OEIENCE Confined to dogs which have not been awarded an Obedience Green Star or four or more first prizes (on or under 10 marks under Irish Kennel Club regulations) in any Obedience Class other than in eginners and Novice Obedience classes. CLASS OEIENCE Confined to dogs which have not been awarded a Green Star or four or more first prizes (on or under 10 marks under Irish Kennel Club regulations) in any Obedience Classes with the exception of eginners, Novice or Graduate Obedience classes.
