1 Activation Key usage and Windows 7 Professional installation guide Please start from page 8 when you already have an unactivated Windows 7 Professional. Otherwise please start from the beginning of the document. Please notice; to use Microsoft Download Portal to download Windows 7 Professional installation files, you need a retail key. With an activation key, it is not possible to download operation system files from Microsoft. Our keys only work with Windows 7 Professional. Special versions like Windows 7 Professional N will not activate with our keys. An activation key comes mostly with hardware and installation DVD, and therefore it is not eligible for online system downloads.

2 How to download an installation medium? In case you do not have a Windows 7 Professional installation medium, please download the following tool and start it (PLEASE COPY AND PASTE THE LINK INTO YOUR BROWSERS ADDRESS BAR): ISO Downloader.exe (if this download fails, please visit the following page to get an updated link: (If both of the links should fail please use the following link: When you open the link please click on the dropdown box and choose Windows 7 Professional [En]. You can choose 32 bit or 64 bit, our key can activate both. After that please click on "Download starten". Your download should start immediately. For burning the downloaded ISO file please refer to our guide. Upon starting the tool, the screen below will welcome you. Please do the described actions step by step to get a Windows 7 Professional installation medium link. Please make sure you ve choosen exactly the version Windows 7 Professional SP1 COEM.

3 After copying the link, please open your browser and paste the download link in the address bar and hit enter. The download should start in short. After the download finishes, you will find an iso file in your download folder. How to create a bootable USB memory stick? We will copy this ISO file onto a USB memory stick to be able to use it as a startup medium. For creating a bootable USB memory stick, please download the following tool: Windows 7 USB/DVD download tool ( ) After downloading the tool please install it. After installation you will find the Windows 7 USB/DVD download tool in your start menu. Please open it. You will be welcomed by this screen:

4 Please click Browse to choose the ISO file you ve downloaded in the previous step. In the next screen we will choose the media type. Please select USB. (You can select DVD too, if you want to install Windows using a DVD player. The guide will still help you with the remaining steps.) Please insert your USB memory stick and select it in the following screen. Please make sure you have selected the right drive. We will delete the contents of the chosen drive.

5 After selecting your USB memory stick please click on Begin copying to start the creation of your bootable Windows 7 Professional installation media. After your bootable USB device is created, please exit this tool and restart your computer. Please make a backup of any important files on your hard drive. We will install a new operating system; this will delete everything.

6 How to select your USB memory stick as Boot disc? Please restart your computer after you made sure you have a copy of all your important files. At the BIOS boot screen (you will see Press F12 to Choose Boot Device or a similar text on your screen) please choose your USB memory stick as boot medium. After selecting the right USB flash disc as your boot disc, please save your BIOS preferences and restart your computer.

7 How to install Windows and enter your activation key? Your computer should start installing Windows 7 Professional. Please follow the steps until the Product Key section. Enter your product key at the Product Activation step and click Automatically activate Windows when I m online. We will need to activate your windows using phone activation. If any error message is shown after this screen please choose to activate later or activate using phone activation. Please see the next section for phone activation.

8 How to activate your Windows 7 Professional? Please right click on Start and click on Properties the the menu opened. Click the Activate Windows now link at the bottom of the window.

9 Select Show me other ways to activate from the Activation menu. Enter your Windows 7 Professional activation key at the prompt.

10 Click Next. Select the Use automated phone system from the list of options. You may be prompted to enter an administrator password. If so, enter the password, and click OK. Select the location that is closest to you. You will be given a list of numbers that you can call, and an installation ID number will be displayed in the window. Call the number. You will be connected to an automated system that will guide you through the activation process. You will be prompted for the installation ID that is displayed on the screen.

11 Use your phone s keypad to enter your Installation ID. Write down the confirmation number. After you have entered the installation ID, you will be provided with a confirmation number. Write it down or type it into Notepad. Enter the confirmation number into the activation window and click Next. After this step your Windows will be activated successfully.
