3 very situation The GIORSOL solar water heater This forced circulation solar water heating system consists of 1 to 3 solar collectors, a storage tank and a GIORSOL transfer unit. This system uses antifreeze liquid as a heat transfer fluid to recover energy absorbed by the collectors and to transmit such energy to the storage tank by means of a heat exchanger. The GIORSOL solar water heater is very FUNCTIONAL: several control indicators allow us to verify that the installation is working well. It is MODULAR: Jacques Giordano Industries offers a wide range of GIORSOL water heaters with capacities from 100 litres to 550 litres which are suitable for adaptation to different configurations. Options for GIORSOL water heaters include vertical or horizontal collectors and enamel-coated or stainless steel storage tanks. A solar collector surface of 4m 2 eliminates the equivalent of the CO 2 emission of a car which travels km per year

4 2 The drain-back solar kit (KSV) The most recent of Giordano s technical innovations, the drain-back solar kit (KSV) implements the novel idea of using additive-free water as the heat transfer fluid. BETTER PERFORMANCE: water without antifreeze contributes to an improvement in the efficiency of the heat transfer and eliminates the need to monitor and replace the antifreeze over time. It eliminates any risk of pollution due to a possible accidental leak of antifreeze The principle of the system is SIMPLE AND RELIABLE: the drainback technology empties the water out of the collector. Once installed, the system will cause all of the water contained in the collectors and the external tubes to drain into a recovery tank in a freeze-free area as soon as the pump shuts down. This installation can only be set up subsequent to the completion of a feasibility study. 3 The HELIOTOITURE roofing system The HELIOTOITURE roofing system, developed more than 20 years ago has since been adapted to accommodate C8 collectors as well. Giordano solar collectors, installed in accordance with the HELIOTOITURE built-in system, will replace the roof of the dwelling or the surface where they are laid. This system is particularly suitable for installations with a large collector surface. 4 The GIORSOL+ solar water heater Jacques Giordano Industries has developed a large capacity GIOR- SOL+ solar water heater (800 and 900 litres). The GIORSOL+ responds to a substantial part of domestic hot water needs and contributes to heating the house, especially during the in-between seasons. Solar collectors It consists of a set of two stacked tanks: 1 stainless steel tank for domestic hot water with a capacity of 300 to 400 litres and litre storage tank. 5 The KSH thermosyphon integral collector storage water heating system Widely distributed in Mediterranean countries and the overseas territories, the KSH integral collector storage water heating system uses the natural thermosyphon phenomenon: hot water, which is lighter than cold water, rises, thus creating a natural circuit between the collector and the tank where the hot water is stored. The KSH thermosyphon system is the most efficient thermal system and offers several advantages: PROBLEM-FREE hot water : the KSH solar water heater only needs little sun to operate, as it is equipped with highly efficient solar collectors. FAIL-SAFE simplicity : the design does not include a pump, so there is nothing to break down. The KSH solar water heater is ECONOMICAL : it requires very little labour to install and very little maintenance. Its all-in-one design and the absence of circulating pumps or regulators make it simple to set up. It can be connected upstream of an existing electric, gas, or fuel oil system. The majority of selective absorber coatings, currently imported and used by manufacturers on the market, contain black chrome, which is an extremely toxic and polluting product.
