Date: 18 December 2009 Subject: Turkey (LT) New Minimum Visibility Values for Airports within Turkey With AIRAC AIP SUP 07/09, Turkey has implemented minimum visibility values for non-precision approach procedures (straight-in as well as circle-to-land). Visibility/RVR for precision approach and LOC (GS out) procedures are not included. Starting with revision 1 Jan 2010, the new State values will be shown on charts and Jeppesen will implement the EU-OPS 1 Standard for airport operating minimums not provided by Turkey. Jeppesen published minimums are not below State provided values but those may be raised to the EU OPS 1 Standard. Until all charts have been revised, Jeppesen will publish a minimums page (numbered 10-9S) for every affected airport as an interim solution. The 10-9S page will contain the State minimum approach visibility values for non-precision approaches, applicable to ALL OPERATORS, with immediate effect.
