FagBladsGruppen publishes a number of leading newspapers and magazines for selected target groups and sectors within business to business and business to consumer. FagBladsGruppen s internet- and webrelated media range from big national and international portal solutions to their own web bureau. WORKSHOP Ciklum s development philosophy strongly revolves around initial requirements. A lot of studies showed that the cost of making changes during the initial stages of the project is the cheapest. It is also important to make sure that you are choosing the right technology, processes, etc. FCM had a workshop session with Ciklum prior the development and UX. Ciklum s Technical Business Consultant (TBC) and Project manager (PM) assigned to the project held a 2-day session. During these 2 days client, PM and TBC have discussed use cases, structure of the web-site, and many other components of the service. The result of the workshop was a detailed specification which made it easier and more specific for the developers to estimate and for stakeholders to understand their solution in the littlest details.

3 UX User Experience (UX) Consulting is the process of designing an intuitive, seamless experience to increase your customers brand loyalty. User experience consulting touches all aspects of your solution: interfaces, design, navigation, user flow, content architecture and much more In order to create the wireframes which were later used for designing the UI, Ciklum s UX consultants, together with the client conducted a thorough analysis of the audience, in order to understand who are the people visiting the website, what are they looking for, etc. The final deliverable had to be the web-site with responsive design. The website itself is big, full of different content and sections. It was designed for 3 devices desktop, tablet and mobile. Responsive design the adaptation of design to the size of the screen (whereas adaptive changes the visual site and increases the functionality by having access to the functionality of the device). UX delivered 70 pages of non-clickable wireframes. Also UX consultants made review of the layouts created by the designers of FCM based on the UX deliverables. UX was done in a way to make sure that later the client can add additional blocks and scaleup the project, leaving the overall design and structure intact.

4 DEVELOPMENT Ciklum advised client to choose the Drupal CMS for the website. Drupal recommended itself as a stable and reliable system to work with, which has a lot of available extensions, which could save costs for development. Ciklum has more than 2 years of experience in Drupal development, and it s the preferred CMS for the media projects. More important Drupal is scalable which would allow for further improvements for the project. Phase 2 was aimed at increasing the awareness of the website. Interactive things banners with the fan clothes were added. Setup own team feature was added in order to increase the interaction of the FC with their fans. Also the client changed the newsletter design. One of the problems which could potentially disrupt the development process were change requests. It s a typical problem in development, due to a lot of ideas and suggestions for improvements come in after the schedule of the project was done. In order to fight this, the PM of the project increased the team with a Peak resource who was engaged in the phase 2 development to meet deadlines.
