We have patterns for most vehicles for full and half drawer systems or we can custom build a drawer system to your specifications. Heavy duty suitably durable for off road driving. Constructed from marine bonded plywood reinforced with steel bracing. All components are either screwed and glued, bolted or riveted. The drawers are made as wide as possible, the drawer roller assemblies as compact as possible and the space behind the wheel arches is utilised for storage. Our bed extensions can be built to suit a vehicle with the middle row seats in (folded up) or a longer bed extension can be built to suit a vehicle with the middle row seats removed. Bed extensions can be installed or removed without removing the drawer system. All bed extensions are attached to the front of the drawer system with four removable brackets. They are also attached to the vehicle by utilising two of the middle row seat captive nuts.

Optional "LIFT OFF "TABLE - sits on top of an open drawer. Constructed from 19mm food contact grade polyethylene plastic. The OPTIONAL INTEGRATED FRIDGE SLIDE (rated at 100 kg) can be fitted to the driver's side the passenger's side or both sides. The fridge slide can be locked in place, providing security for the drawer underneath. Also, the drawer latch can be used to hold the fridge slide in the open position. This prevents the slide from rolling shut when the vehicle is parked on uneven ground. The fridge slide is mounted on two "Thomas Regout" telescopic runners. Fridge slides can also be used for easy access to other heavy objects like a tool box or outboard motor. Each slide comes complete with four eye bolts, four straps and four nylon buckles to attach the fridge. Optional DRAWER PARTITIONS - they are a "press fit" and can be placed in any position inside the drawer. Held in place by Velcro tape. Our STAINLESS steel heavy duty "T" LATCHES combine a handle a latch and a lock in one unit. They are flush mounted and the "T" shaped handle folds down out of harms way. The locks for both drawers are keyed alike. Our storage drawers are SECURELY ANCHORED whenever possible fitted by utilising genuine captive nuts for the cargo seats, tie downs etc. The back of each drawerfront and the front of each carcass is carpet lined. When the drawers are closed this carpet creates a tight seal. This seal keeps the inside of your drawers DUST FREE. The optional tie downs can be fitted in the position of your choice on the fridge slide or the false floor. This photo shows the EFFICIENT USE OF SPACE between the drawer and the carcass. At the top is the fridge slide runner, in the centre, the drawer runner assembly and at the bottom is a plywood re-enforcing panel for the drawer base. A tough strip of carpet is glued onto each side of each drawer. There is no load on this carpet, it slides on the steel to prevent the drawers from rattling. This strip of carpet also prevents a loaded drawer from rolling in or out too fast when the vehicle is parked on uneven ground.

8 Our storage drawers have been designed to be as strong and as light as possible. This is achieved by constructing the drawers from marine bonded plywood then re-enforcing any areas that are highly stressed with steel components. Some parts are glued screwed and braced, other parts are riveted or bolted together. If anyone tries to tell you that steel drawers are stronger than our plywood/steel drawers just show them these photographs! Each drawer has a load capacity of 200 Kg. The combined weight of these two men is 170 Kg The fridge slide is rated at 100 Kg. Each drawer is rated at 200 Kg. The fridge slide and the drawer underneath can be locked together. The two combined have a load capacity of 300 Kg. The combined weight of these three men is 250 Kg.

9 Photo of the outside of a drawer The drawers run on sealed bearings. The bearings are attached to the drawer using 10mm dia coach bolts. When the drawer is fully open the bearings at the end of the drawer carry the entire load of the drawer and its contents. As shown in the photo, to increase the load capacity we insert 16 gauge steel plates into the plywood drawer sides. Inside each drawer the coach bolts for the roller bearings are re-enforced with 50mm dia 2.5mm thick washers. The steel bearings roll on a 50mm x 20mm x 2.5mm rectangular steel tube. The 2.5mm thickness is very important. When the drawer is fully open, two of the bearings line up with the end of this channel. A heavy load in the drawer would cause the top bearing to dent or crush the tube if it was not thick enough. The drawer bases are constructed from 16 gauge sheet steel for maximum space inside the drawer. Captive washers are fitted to the top of each half of the false floor (photos show top of false floor). The plywood in the centre of the false floor is 21mm thick. (photo shows bottom of false floor). Each half of the false floor (one false floor each side unless a fridge slide is fitted) is attached to the drawer carcass using bolts. The nuts for these bolts are fitted onto 40mm wide 3mm thick steel angle brackets. The angle bracket shown doubles as a stop block to prevent the drawer from sliding out of the drawer carcass. This bracket is attached to the drawer carcass with two 6mm bolts and two nyloc nuts. The sturdy construction of the false floor(s) allows you to attach "tie downs" in any position.

10 CARGO BARRIERS We are agents for Milford cargo barriers. If required our drawer systems can be built to suit a full height cargo barrier. We recommend fitting full barriers because they are bolted securely to the floor or the wheel arches. Full barriers are more versatile than half barriers, a full barrier can be moved from the rear position (behind the middle row seats) to the front position (behind the front seats). Our drawer systems are easy to remove and re-install and the full barrier can remain in the vehicle with or without the drawer system in place. WHY BUY OUR DRAWERS?
