11 THE POWER OF COLD Antistaseos 2A Tel: , Strovolos Mob: Heat activated absorption refrigeration cycles can be used for heat pumping Free Air Conditioning from waste heat The cost of energy is increasing day by day. The waste heat from boiler exhaust gas is useful energy to drive the absorption cooling machine. Usage of waste heat can drastically reduce the consumption of electricity required for cooling purposes. This is one of the most appropriate energy saving methods for Hospitals etc. in much the same way as electric powered mechanical refrigeration cycles. However, there are several important differences which favor the absorption approach. In both cases low temperature is heat pumped and delivered to the process being heated. Hot and Cold at the same time However, absorption cycles also deliver a significant amount of heat of absorption. That heat is approximately equal to the input driving heat (desorption heat), and is quantitatively larger than the low temperature heat pumped heat. More importantly, it is hotter than the heat pumped heat. For aqua ammonia absorption cycles, the absorption heat temperature can readily reach 80 to 90 C. This is what makes it possible to heat pump hot water to well above 60 C with an absorption heat pump. A second key consideration is that the evaporator of the aqua absorption cycle can be at approximately 0 C or lower, at the same time that the hot end of the absorber is 85 C. Thus it is possible to EFFECTIVE TRADE TECHNOLOGIES simultaneously deliver useful chilling and heat pumped hot water.

SunChill is extending its portfolio by offering new ranges for lighting at low temperatures down to -60 C. For each application, we ve developed ranges of LED luminaires, working as efficiently as possible within a defined temperature range. Lighting in Industrial refrigeration lighting requires special precautions, especially in the food processing industry. We offer luminaires that are ideal for cold storage rooms and other refrigerated areas. Industrial refrigeration lighting is often found in the food processing industry. Therefore, hygiene requirements add to the physical demands for operation in the cold: resistance to cleaning agents and corrosion, easy to clean, anti condensation design, etc. Lighting for industrial refrigeration Call now!

Within more than one year Aisberg company is developing the refrigeration cabinets with boiling temperature -2 С in evaporator. Laboratory testing of new line of refrigeration cabinets Medusa were completed. To solve this challenging technical problem we developed a new aerodynamics of Medusa cabinet and increased the size of evaporator. Call now! EFFECTIVE TRADE TECHNOLOGIES
18 THE POWER OF COLD Antistaseos 2A 2034, Strovolos Tel: Mob: Hot Glycol Defrost System for Freezer Evaporators Saving from 3,000 euro to 7,000 euro from each evaporator per year New systems or retrofit Cold Stores evaporators Supermarket freezer cabinets Retail shop freezer cabinets SunChill now brings to Cyprus market the glycol defrost system that it melts ice from freezer evaporators faster than any other defrost system. This system will reduce the electrical energy required to operate the system and should also eliminate the need to run expensive defrost heater cables, contractors and overloads, or equally expensive hot or cool gas pipe and valve network. The inclusion of the glycol heater also reduces the temperature of the discharge vapour being delivered to the condenser or gas cooler which effectively allows more of the condenser or gas coolers area to be used as condenser delivering a lower refrigerant exit temperature, thus increasing overall system performance.
