1 Singapore - Infrastructure Projects Project Title Description Project Status Financial Volume Construction Company Transport MRT Masterplan-Cross Island Line The 50km Cross Island Line (CRL) will span across Singapore and To be completed in serve as an alternative to the current East-West Line. Starting from Changi, the CRL will pass through Loyang, Pasir Ris, Hougang, Ang Mo Kio, before reaching Sin Ming. The western leg will serve areas such as Bukit Timah, Clementi, West Coast, and terminate at Jurong Industrial Estate. Land Transport Authority MRT Masterplan-Downtown Line Currently in various stages of planning and construction, the 40 km fully underground Downtown Line (DTL) comprising of 34 stations will connect the northwestern and eastern regions of Singapore to the new downtown at Marina Bay in the south and the Central Business District. Similar to the Circle Line, 3-car trainsets will run on the Downtown Line with line capacity for 500,000 commuters daily. It will also be the longest underground automated train in Singapore. The Downtown Line Stage 3 will also be extented a further 2km to join the current East-West and future Eastern Region lines that runs through Marine Parade. Dec 2013: Stage 1 (Bugis Chinatown), 6 stations opened. 2016: Stage 2 (Rochor Bukit Panjang), additional 12 stations will be opened. 2017: Stage 3 (Fort Canning-Expo), final 16 stations will be opened. 2025: Extension from DTL Stage 3 to be completed S$20.7 billion Land Transport Authority MRT Masterplan-North East Line extension The 2km North East Line Extension will serve Punggol North including the new Punggol Downtown and enhance train access from Punggol to the city and other parts of Singapore. 2 MRT Masterplan-Marina South Extension The North-South Line Marina South Extension is a fully underground southward extension from Marina Bay Station. The 1 km extension comprises 1 new station located near the upcoming International Cruise Centre at Marina South. To be completed in S$357.5 million Land Transport Authority MRT Masterplan-Tuas West Extension The East-West Line Tuas West Extension is a fully elevated westward extension from Joo Koon Station. The 7.5 km extension comprises 4 new stations and a depot located near the Tuas Checkpoint. In addition, a 4km long dual 3-lane road viaduct will be constructed and will run along Pioneer Road to join Tuas South Avenue 3. 3 Sentosa Gateway Tunnel The Sentosa Gateway Tunnel is a 2-lane one way tunnel which will connect outbound traffic from Sentosa Island directly to Kampong Bahru Road, Lower Delta Road and Keppel Road. It will bypass the busy traffic junctions at Sentosa Gateway and Telok Blangah Rd Telok Blangah Rd and Kampong Bahru Rd and ease traffic from Sentosa Gateway to the city. To be completed in S$200 million Land Transport Authority North-South Expressway The new 21 km North-South Expressway running parallel to the CTE will link the city centre to the north-south corridor of Singapore. It will ease the traffic load on the CTE and reduce travel time between the north and the city centre significantly during peak hours. To be completed in S$7-8 billion Land Transport Authority Singapore-KL High-Speed Rail Link Currently in its early planning stages, the 320km to 340km highspeed rail project aims to cut land-travelling time between Singapore and KL to just 90 minutes and have five transit stops along the way. Targeted to be completed in 2020 Estimated cost: S$15 billion Land Transport Authority Pasir Panjang Terminal (PPT) Phase 3 & 4 PPT Phases 3 and 4 will have a total of 15 new berths. With nearly 6,000 metres of quay length and up to 18 metres draft, the new terminals will be able to serve the next generation of containerships, while maintaining high service standards. Marine & Chemicals Industry To be completed in S$4.5 billion PSA Singapore Jurong Rock Caverns Jurong Rock Caverns (JRC) is Southeast Asia s first underground liquid hydrocarbon storage facilit y built at a depth of 130m beneath Banyan Basin on Jurong Island. It provide infrastructural support and meet provide additional storage space for liquid hydrocarbons. Phase 1 of the JRC consists of 8km of tunnels and 5 caverns housing a total of 9 storage galleries. Phase 2 of the project will double the facility s storage capacity to a total of 1.47 million m3 of oil storage space. 4 Tuas Port This newly constructed port will consolidate all of Singapore's container operations in one port which can handle up to 65 million TEUs per year when fully operational. First set of berths at Tuas Port will be operational in S$ 400 million MPA Floating Oil Terminal Anchored to the mainland of Pulau Sebarok, Singapore's first floating oil storage terminal is designed as a collection of large floating platforms which can either be moored to land or operated as standalone units. The VLFS will comprise of two rectangular modules, each with a storage capacity of 5.29 million cubic feet (150,000 cubic metres). JTC Corporation Deep Tunnel Sewerage System (DTSS) It is an 80 km tunnel system with a diameter of 6.5 m, which will run almost from one end of the island to the other; plan is to replace the 6 existing water treatment plants and 130 pumping stations, to make more land and space for development of other projects. Changi Water Reclamation Plant, the core of the DTSS, is capable of treating 176 million gallons of water each day to international standards. Land and Water Phase 1 completed in 2008 (48 km tunnel from Kranji to Changi, 60 km of link sewer and two 5 km-long deep sea outfall pipes), Phase 2 expected to be developed by $3.4 billion PUB Seletar Serangoon Reservoir Scheme This scheme develops the reservoirs downstream of seletar Phase 1 completed in reservoir to catch runoff from the northeastern side to increase Phase 2 to be completed in water supply. 5 Changi Water Reclamation Plant NEWater plant Changi PUB is building a fifth NEWater plant at Changi, which will be the largest in Singapore. It is also PUB's fifth Design, Build, Own and Operate (DBOO) project NEWater is high-grade drinkable water produced from treated used water through reverse osmosis and membrane technology. The plant will supply 15 percent of Singapore's current water needs. 7 Changi Business Park The ha Changi Business Park (CBP) offers a new and highly-conducive work environment for forward-looking businesses. Its strategic location and energy-saving District Cooling System makes it an ideal choice for MNCs and SMEs in R&D, high-technology and knowledge-intensive industries. Slated to be fully operational by S$60 million JTC EDB Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Terminal A suitable site of about 30 ha on the south western part of Construction to begin in Jurong Island has been identified for the proposed LNG Terminal to be completed by the second receiving terminal. The key attractions include one of Singapore's two casinos, a Universal Studios theme park and Marine Life Park, which includes the world's largest oceanarium. It is one of the world's most expensive casino properties, after Marina Bay Sands. The resort occupies over 49 ha (121 acres) of land and, when fully open, will employ more than 10,000 people directly. 15 Wisma Geylang Serai Upon its completion, the new civic centre of Wisma Geylang Serai will provide a one-stop venue for community activities, arts and cultural events and a meeting point for locals and visitors to Singapore. A wide range of facilities will be housed under one roof including the Geylang Serai CC, the South East CDC, integrated day facilities, a childcare centre, a Malay Heritage Gallery as well as other arts related uses. As part of a much-needed park upgrade and plans to improve the capacity of the Kallang River along the edge of the park, works were carried out simultaneously to transform the utilitarian concrete channel into a naturalised river, creating new spaces for the community to enjoy. Opened in March 2012 PUB Expansion of the airport Changi Airport Terminal 4 Singapore plans to expand the Changi Airport by 1000ha to meet the growing demand for air travel. The new terminal will comprise of two new roads, two carparks, a bigger taxi-holding area and a new control tower. In addition, self-service options for check-in and bag-drop which will facilitate a faster and more seamless travel experience.the new terminal will also provide aircraft stands with aerobridges for 17 small planes and 4 wide-bodied aircraft. When fully completed, the 195,000 sqm terminal will cater for up to 16 million passengers a year. Airport Planning process To be completed in 2017 S$985 million Changi Airport Group

16 Changi Airport Terminal 5 One of the largest terminals in the world, the new T5 will allow the expanded Changi Airport to be operated as a single, integrated airport for ease of transfer between different terminals, maximum passenger convenience and airfield operational efficiency. Terminal 5 will introduce new modes of operation for the airport operator and government agencies and will handle up to 50 million passenger movements per annum when completed. To be completed in 2020 S$985 million Changi Airport Group Project Jewel Project Jewel is envisioned to be a world-class lifestyle destination that will strongly boost Singapore s appeal as a stopover point for global travellers. The 5-storey mixed-use complex will offer aviation and travel-related facilities, a wide range of retail offerings, as well as unique leisure attractions, It will also link all 3 existing terminals together, improving inter-terminal connectivity. Simultaneously, T1 will also be expanded to allow more space for the arrival hall, baggage claim areas and taxi bays, eventually increasing T1 s passenger handling capacity to 24 million passenger movements per annum. To be completed in 2018 S$1.47billion Changi Airport Group Mediapolis Digital Media When completed, the 19-hectare development in onenorth will be Singapore's first digital media hub focusing on the development of high-quality media content as well as R&D in interactive digital media. Mediapolis will house a media ecosystem comprising incubators, R&D activities, content development, digital production, broadcasting, industry-responsive education, intellectual property and digital rights management.
