Of all the senses, our sense of smell is most closely tied to memory. A scent may be unexpected, momentary, or fleeting, yet it can conjure poignant memories from your past. When implemented correctly, the healing powers of essential oils can be used aromatically to stimulate a variety of emotions and help individuals rediscover balance, peace, and an overall sense of well-being. Some essential oils may be inhaled directly from their bottles for a quick pickme-up or while on the go. For a more immersive experience, you can use Miracle Essential Oils carefully tested diffuser to fill any space - be it your home or office - with the fragrant, comforting atmosphere of essential oils. Some essential oils may also be applied directly to areas of concern, such as on sore muscles, cuts, blemishes, rashes, etc. Now, before you go lathering on your Miracle Essential Oils, we recommend testing your body s sensitivity to essential oils first before applying them directly on the skin. Do this by diluting your essential oil with a carrier oil - which is a vegetable-based oil derived from the fatty portion of plants and seeds (some popular ones are almond, avocado, coconut and jojoba oil) - then applying only on a small patch of skin. Diluting with a carrier oil minimizes the strength of highly concentrated essential oils, making it easier to test how your body reacts to them. Always dilute essential oil with carrier oil first and test only on a small area of skin to find out how your body reacts. Some essential oils - especially citrus-based ones - are phototoxic, which means they can irritate or discolor the skin when exposed to direct sunlight. Use caution, and avoid applying these to skin that will be exposed to sunlight or UV light within 24 hours. The Safety Information Table in the back of this guide details which oils are sun-safe. For this reason we suggest that all new users dilute their oils in a carrier oil (such as coconut or soja oil) when using topically or internally. Some people have more sensitive skin than others, so it s better to be cautious when first getting a feel for these powerful oils. This is especially important when using essential oils for young children. Always dilute and use a very small amount - half (or less) than the recommended amount for adults. Use Small Amounts Frequently. This takes some discipline and goes against that little part of you that thinks, If 2 drops are good for me, 20 must be great!
