6 Value Added Services Insurance for Transported Goods Bearing in mind the legal limitations and exclusions on responsibility at national and international level for land transport, ocean and air freight, the Insurance for Transported Goods is extremely important. This Insurance is the only one that protects the goods transported, guaranteeing payment of compensation in accordance with the value of merchandise declared for insurance, in the case of duly documented and proven damage or loss. As part of a DB Schenker Group international insurance program, Schenker Transitários, S.A. offers its clients Insurance for Transported Goods with competitive rates. This insurance, made at the client's request, covers land, ocean and air transports, guaranteeing coverage against all risks related to loss or damage of cargo from start to finish of freight operations.
