In addition, a postgraduate qualification recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI) or equivalent thereto, as indicated in the table below for each post, is required. Diplomate National Board (DNB), shall be treated as equivalent to the MD, MS / DM, MCh qualifications of the respective broad / super-specialties. Candidate should have completed total 14, 10, 6 and 3 years of teaching and/or research experience at a recognized teaching institution, after the prescribed MD/PhD degree for the posts Professor, Additional Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor, respectively as on last date of submission of application OR 12, 8, 4 years and 1 year of teaching and/or research experience, respectively, after obtaining the degree of DM/MCh (2-year duration) in the concerned specialty OR 11, 7, 3, 0 years of teaching and/or research experience after obtaining the degree of DM/MCh (3 years duration) in the respective specialty as on last date of submission of application. In subjects where DM/MCh qualification is not yet mandated by the MCI, 3-years post MD/MS experience in concerned specialty as Senior Resident at a Institute Page 1 of 3

Desirable: Experience in bio-informatics; immunogenetics Molecular Medicine and Biotechnology (Basic Scientist): PhD in life sciences, with not less than 3 years (for Asstt Prof) / 6 years (for Assoc Prof) post-doctoral experience with quality publications that show strong input by candidate indicating strength in molecular biology and translational research towards clinical medicine. Surgical Gastroenterology (Liver transplant Unit): MCh Surgical Gastroenterology (3 year course) OR MS (Surgery) with fellowship in multiorgan transplantation/liver transplantation with at least 3 year post-ms teaching & research experience. For Associate Professor, the candidate should possess the above qualification with six years recognized teaching experience out (of which at least one year should be in liver transplant). For Additional Professor, the candidate should possess above qualifications with 10 years recognized teaching and training experience (of which at least 2 years should be in a liver transplant unit). Radiodiagnosis: Desirable: Experience in hepato-biliary imaging (1 post); neuro-radiology (1 post) Pathology: Desirable: Experience in pathology of liver diseases Hematology/BMT: Clinical/BMT: Asstt Prof: DM (Clinical Hematology) / MD (Medicine/Pediatrics) or an equivalent qualification plus three years post-md teaching and research experience in Clinical Hematology. Desirable: The candidate must have clinical experience in performing bonemarrow transplantation independently. For Associate / Additional Professor: As above with additional 3 / 7 years experience, respectively. Lab Hematology (Asstt Prof): DM (Hemato-Pathology) / MD (Pathology) or an equivalent qualification plus 3 years post-md teaching and research experience with a minimum of 2 years in Hematology. Biostatistics & Health Informatics: (Asstt Prof). MSc (Statistics/Bio-statistics/Applied Statistics) plus Ph.D. (Statistics / Biostatistics / Population studies) plus 3 years teaching and or research experience. Desirable: Sound knowledge of statistical computing using SPSS/ SAS/ BMDP/ GLIM/ Neural Networks, computer programming or any high level language; special interest in risk analysis / life time data analysis / stochastic / model / statistical methods in epidemiology and health care evaluation OR the candidate should have special interest in multivariate categorical and analysis / regression modeling / media analysis / statistical genetics will be preferred. Hospital Administration: (Asstt Prof) MD (Hospital Administration) / MD (Community Health Administration) / MD (Health Administration) with 3 years teaching experience in the subject in a recognized medical college / institution as Resident / Registrar / Demonstrator / Tutor. (Assoc Prof): Qualifications as above plus additional 6 years teaching experience in recognized Institute. Neonatology: Professor: DM Neonatology plus additional teaching and / or research experience of 11 years (3 year DM program) or 12 years (2 year DM program) with publications in the concerned specialty, or MD Pediatrics plus additional 14 years teaching and / or research experience in Page 2 of 3

Maternal and Reproductive Health: Professor: Desirable experience: Having worked in an assisted reproductive techniques centre with documented expertise in reproductive medicine / in vitro fertilization / reproductive biology for at least 3 years in a MCI recognized teaching institute Pay scales: Assistant Professor: PB-3, Rs academic grade pay of Rs Associate Professor: PB-4, Rs academic grade pay of Rs Additional Professor: PB-4,Rs academic grade pay of Rs Professor: PB-4, Rs academic grade pay of Rs. 10,500 In addition, applicable non-practising allowance (to clinically qualified candidates) and other allowances as per the Institute rules will be paid. New pension scheme of the government will be applicable. Upper age limit: 50 years as on 1Jan2016. The age limit may be relaxable for exceptionally qualified candidates, government servants, and candidates belonging to scheduled castes / scheduled tribes / other backward class as per rules.
