2 PRESENTATION Mydriaz Paris, founded in 2011 by young graduates of the École Boulle and Beaux- Arts, specializes in the design and production of lighting, furnishings and accessories. Our brand of craftsmanship relies on a dialogue between the worlds of design, fine arts and applied arts. Our field of activity is twofold: on the one hand we design functional items which reflect our ideas of style and beauty; on the other hand we produce custom-made pieces in brass and other metals, in response+ to our clients requests. To our way of thinking, the distinction between art and craftsmanship is a subtlety of language. Conventional manufacturing methods are not compatible with modernization or with the pertinence of an object, and modernization does not necessarily mean industrialized, standardized objects. Technical constraints and a choice of finishing touches constitute the core of our practice and of our aesthetic and conceptual investigations. Through our creations, we strive to contribute to a certain consciousness-raising as well as to an opening of the doors to our respective worlds. We rely on our creative instincts, but we first explore our desires, taking off from whatever appeals to us as a preliminary idea, and subsequently giving our creations substance, hoping to echo the sensitivity within each of us. We aspire to the production of high-quality functional objects backed by formal, focused and thorough research.

3 HISTORY March 2011: Founding of MYDRIAZ PARIS. April 2011: Custom-made production for Ciguë for the Diane Von Furstenberg boutique in New York. April-October 2011: Creation of the first MYDRIAZ PARIS catalogue. November 2011: Exhibition at the Atelier Bereczki, Paris. Finalist in the «Grand Prix de la Création» at Paris City Hall. December 2011: Custom-made furnishings for Ciguë for the Yves Saint-Laurent corner in London. Design and production of furnishings for individual clients. January 2012: Development of our second catalogue. Custom-made furnishings for the Yves Saint-Laurent corner in Tokyo. February 2012: Production of prototypes for the Isabel Marant boutique in Séoul, for Ciguë. March-April 2012: Design and production of a chest of drawers for an individual client. May 2012: Production of Shadows, a series of 60 lamps, for Ciguë. June 2012: Custom-made furnishings for Ciguë agency for Isabel Marant boutique in Séoul. Production of a base for Jeremy Maxwell Wintrebert. June-December 2012: Production of «Cténophore». July 2012: Award winner for Fondation Riboud, Fondation Ersnt & Young and INMA. October 2012: Exhibition at «Biennale Déco et création d art» of Pantin.

4 November 2012: Participation in «Savoir-Faire» auction sale at Drouot. Production of a floor lamp for Jeremy Wintrebert. December 2012: Finalist in the «Grand Prix de la Création» at Paris City Hall. January 2013: Development of our third catalogue. Production of clothes rails for Maison Kitsuné. February 2013: Production of a lamp and upright for Jeremy Wintrebert. Development of our catalogue. March 2013: Participation in «Biennale du Design» of Saint-Etienne. April 2013: Participation in the exhibition «Métal, l éloge de la souplesse» at Ateliers de Paris for the European Arts and Crafts Days. May 2013: Design and production of custom light bases for an individual client. June 2013: Production of small tables for an individual client. Production of a lamp, and hanging systems for Jeremy Wintrebert. Starting collaboration with Olivier Dollé. Award winner for Banque Populaire corporate fondation. July 2013: Technical design and production of 8 custom domes for Gérard Bertrand, Verallia and Aplus Communication, from the original idea of Mélitine Courvoisier, «Côte des Roses» bottle designer. September 2013: Production of «NAICA» for the artist Pierre Huyghe, for his retrospective at Centre G.Pompidou. Participation in «Révélations, salon des Métiers d Art et de la Création» at Grand Palais, and also in Paris Design Week at Galerie Joseph. October to November 2013 : Production of Zoetrope Décember 2013: Laureate for the «Grand Prix de la Création de la Ville de Paris» Award.
