1 BA IN FASHION (TAUGHT IN BULGARIAN) Brief presentation of the program: Training program during the first two years cover general education; training in basic scientific directions in two-semester courses: Composition in visual arts, General History of art, aesthetics and theory of art, culture and semiotics, human culture, Mythology and Religion, Introduction to Archaeology; practical courses: Introduction to fashion design, construction and clothes modeling, Textile Design, Research and Forecasting fashion and more. During the third and fourth year training is organized in specialized courses in the program and extracurricular learning modes, including apprenticeships and traineeships. Major and professional qualification: Major: Design - Fashion Qualification: designer Practices: Practical training includes work in experimental artistic atelier couture NBU, Participation in shows and exhibitions, and practice in companies for fashion clothing. International mobility: The program provides an opportunity for international student mobility with universities in Italy, UK, Finland, Slovenia, Belgium, and Romania. Competence of Graduates: - Possess knowledge of fashion and the creative process of creating a finished design product. - Acquire skills to develop and implement designs using classical and modern techniques. Graduation: The educational undergraduate degree is completed with a bachelor thesis or state examination upon obtaining the necessary number of credits. Besides the professional qualifications provided by the program, students can receive additional specialization by enrolling for a Minor-program - second specialty. The conditions for graduation are set out in the "Standards for completion of educational and qualification degree." Profession and possible positions: Graduates of the program are: designer; fashion designers in an enterprise for prêt-à-porter, boutique firms and unique clothing design companies.
