4 4 MAXIMETRO The MAXI METRO model was developed to guarantee maximum capacity and working speed. It is surprisingly efficient, able to plant thousands of hectares within a short period of time, offering all the economical and organizational benefits associated with the use of a single machine. The sturdiness of the frame and variety of configurations make this planter adaptable to all kinds of working conditions. The pneumatic seed distribution system guarantees extremely uniform delivery, even sowing seeds with uneven shape and size.

6 6 MAXIMETRO MTR planting unit, flawless precision. Perfect seeding is guaranteed even in the most demanding applications thanks to the heavy duty parallelogram linkage arms, the largest opening discs in the market (16 1/2 diameter), the multiple adjusting system of furrow closing device. Both in conventional and minimum till condition seeding depth is kept consistent even with high crop residues. The vacuum system and the special adjustable singulator ensures accuracy with uneven shape and size of seeds, talc and graphite use is not necessary.

7 7 Fan The adjustable suction pressure is monitored from cab to manage with precision small and big seeds. Seeding plate Air suction gently pull and hold seeds one by one into the seeding plate holes. Seeding plate change is quick and easy and no tools are needed. You can switch crops or seed size in less than 30 seconds per unit. Seeding Tube The uniform drop of seeds into furrow is allowed by the special shape and material of the seeding tube. The precise seeds knocking prevents bouncing in the tube. Furrow The narrow V shape furrow limits soil disturbance and immediately stops seeds once they reach seeding slot bottom: accurate in row seed to seed distance. Closing Tail The multi adjustable rear covering wheels tail guarantees the closing up of furrow. It firms soil improving soil to seed contact getting an even germination.

8 8 MAXIMETRO RUGGED FOR ROUGH! Arm Strong This planting unit is designed for seeding in rough conditions and at high working speeds. The parallel linkage arm is made of one high tensile steel cast piece. This design prevents from twisting and bending under loads and impacts which can occur in the toughest working conditions. Air Spring (Optional) The air spring device is available as optional and allows to adapt down-pressure to field conditions. It gives infinitely variable down-pressure from 250 up to 450 pounds per row. Spring The unit is supplied as standard with a steel spring which sets down-pressure at 300 pounds. An additional spring is available as option to set down pressure at 350 pounds per row. An Heavy Duty adjustable single spring can be fitted to set downpressure from 250 to 350 pounds.

10 10 MAXIMETRO CUSTOMIZE YOUR PLANTER TO MATCH PLANTING CONDITIONS! Different front attachments are available to guarantee perfect seeding in different soil conditions. Front disc Unit front mounted disc coulter cuts into hard soil in reduced till conditions. The wave profile creates extremely fine tilth 7/8 wide slot. Suitable for wet, spongy soils where it can be difficult to close the furrow. Trash Wheels The adjustable trash wheels clean the row sweeping crop residues away. They prevent from uneven gauge wheels depth control and from trash burying. Clods Pusher The adjustable clod pusher moves dry soil and clods away from sowing slot, the front mounted independent coulter can cut the soil for a prime furrow opening on tilled soils conditions.

11 11 LONG LASTING PERFORMANCE WITH LOW MAINTENANCE! Save money and time reducing maintenance operations. Cardan Shaft Drive Forget chains, lubrication and dusty wearing. No fear while working on high residues, corn stalk can t damage it. Super Scraper The scraper has a wear resistant Tungsten carbide profile for NO-STOP working. Super Sealed Hub The double rows ball bearing is oversized and guarantees a great reliability in the most demanding working conditions. Long life is guaranteed by triple seal protection, hub is dust proof ideal to work in wet conditions as well. Wide double disc The large disc 16 ½ inch of diameter, 1/6 inch thick guarantees long lasting performance, extend operating life recovering discs edge wearing removing shim washers on hub assembling.

12 12 MAXIMETRO DEPTH CONTROL Set planting depth from 1/2 up to 5 thanks to the two wide gauge wheels with equalizing system to control seeding depth by counteracting left and right wheels. Even seeding depth control is guaranteed in rough soil conditions. Gauge Wheels Gauge wheels consolidate soil immediately after furrow opening. Most down pressure is given on the side while the top soil closer to the furrow is just gently firmed before rear closing wheels. V Shaper Coulter The coulter fitted between opening discs is made of wear resistant cast steel, it shapes the furrow and acts as a scraper inside the opening discs. Soil Surface

13 13 Seed Press Wheel The stainless steel seed press wheel increases seed to soil contact improving emergence in dry soils. It can be easily excluded when not needed. Walking gauge wheels Due to the largest diameter of double disc the walking gauge wheels action is guaranteed also planting at high depth (3 ). Heavy Duty double rows ball bearing with metal hub cap. 14 14 MAXIMETRO ACCURACY PLANTERS Accuracy The vacuum system gently pulls and individually holds the seeds into flat seed plate holes, regardless inconsistency in shape and size. Seed Singulator The double seed singulator action can be checked from back inspection window and it can be very quickly and easily adjusted. Singulation is carried out on both sides of holes avoiding in this way doubles. Cardan Shaft The cardan shaft drive guarantees an even seed plate rotation with no maintenance need. Maximum reliability with user friendly operation! Seeding Tube Seeding tube takes the very even spacing which is delivered by the very precise metering system into the furrow. Its special design prevent from bouncing during drop. Seed Braking System When seed falls into the narrow V shape furrow, it stops immediately maintaining an even spacing. Rubber Tire 2 Standard 2 rubber-tire closing wheels suitable for conventionally tilled and loose soil. The soft rubber prevents soil from sticking in wet conditions. Rubber Tire 1 Optional 1 rubber-tire closing wheels are suitable for dry soil and when increasing down-force is required to firm soil. Cast Iron Optional cast iron press wheels are recommended for tough soil conditions with high crop residues, where more down-force is required to close the furrow.

18 18 MAXIMETRO COMFORT TO DRIVE! CAB control Easy to read wide full color 14 HD touch screen offers a powerful year-round precision farming tool. Mapping, planter and applications control, yield monitoring, real-time data logging, everything is controlled from the cab. For ISOBUS tractors the planter management can be controlled directly by the existing monitor system. For no ISOBUS tractors an independent monitor system can be supplied instead. The row shut-off prevents from seeding overlapping increasing savings. The electrical shut off of Gaspardo cardan shaft transmission avoids seeding faults when compared to to a conventional chain drive transmission. Gaspardo suction system is always on as only cardan shaft is disengaged while on other planters the pneumatic system shut off causes sensible distribution delays once it is started again. Hydraulic Transmission Hydraulic driving system to quickly change revolutions in relation to seed population. Row shut-off The electric row shut-off stops cardan revolution to prevent seed overlapping and waste, when reengaged delivery restart immediately. No delay on seed delivery.

22 22 MAXIMETRO LOCALIZED FERTILIZER: NO WASTE! The in-row fertilize distribution allows to reduce and improve its efficiency. Thanks to the big tank capacity and Flexeed metering system fine calibration of granular fertilizer is easy and precise. Three mushroom heads manage fertilizer distribution on each planter section. The hydraulic driven fan blows the air flow which takes granular fertilizer to the distribution heads and eventually to the rows. The granular fertilizer is evenly distributed into the furrows which are opened by the double disc coulters. From 45 up to 500 lbs/ac of fertilizer can be managed from tractor cab. The planter can also be fitted with liquid fertilizer and seed central feed.

23 Double Disc Coulter Depending on the planter version and on crop requirements, fertilizer can be distributed by shoe opener, double-disc opener or by pneumatic distribution directly into the seeding furrow. 23

24 24 MAXIMETRO WIDE & FLEXIBLE Tool Bar Each side wing toolbar offers an 8 degrees upword or downword inclination giving an overall 16 degrees run. Thanks to this frame design, the planter can follow ground contours maintaining accurate seeding depth all across its working width. Frame adaptability goes together with an easy and quick folding in transport.
