1 Northern Ireland Sustainable Energy Programme Schemes running from April 2016 to March Priority 2 (Low-income Households) Whole House Solutions Cosy Homes Energy Plus Heating and insulation measures: Grant of up to 1,000 towards heating and 100 towards insulation Energy saving advice for tenant Heating and insulation measures: Fully funded gas heating system if on the gas network; oil system where gas is not available Fully funded cavity wall insulation Housing Association Properties with solid fuel or Economy 7 heating systems. Low-income households with no heating, economy 7 or solid fuel heating. Must be homeowner or private tenant. Income criteria: Housing Associations will be responsible for selecting properties and funding remainder of cost. Fusion Heating Leaine Hogg 1 Schemes may not start immediately as it can take a few weeks to set up and as funding for each scheme is limited, schemes will only run whilst funds are still available. Therefore some schemes may be closed to further applications before the end of March Please contact the Scheme Manager, using the contact details specified, to clarify the availability of grants and further details about the individual schemes. 2 Priority schemes, both whole house and individual measures, are aimed at low-income households. Each of the priority schemes has its own set of vulnerability criteria/income thresholds to identify qualifying households. In general, NISEP schemes are targeted at households who do not qualify for assistance from government schemes such as Affordable Warmth.
2 Energy Saver Homes Helm Energy Saver Plus and/or loft insulation Water Widget Climote Remote Heating Control Heating and insulation measures: Fully funded gas heating system if on the gas network; oil system where gas is not available Up to 800 towards cavity wall and/or loft insulation Radiator foils Heating and insulation measures: Grant of up to 1,000 towards heating and 150 towards insulation Water Widget income / pension of up to 23,000 OR Couple or single parent family with income / pension of less than 35,000 Low-income households with no heating, economy 7 or solid fuel heating. Must be homeowner or private tenant. 3 Home Comfort 1,500 Cash Back Home Comfort Plus Free Heating Heating and insulation measures (firmus energy network area only): Cash back of 1,500 towards a natural gas heating system Up to 800 for insulation measures including cavity wall and loft insulation Energy monitor Heating and insulation measures (firmus energy network area only): Fully funded natural gas heating system Up to 800 for insulation measures including cavity wall and loft insulation and a hot water cylinder jacket. Energy monitor Low-income households within the firmus energy gas network area with no central heating, Economy 7, solid fuel, old LPG heating systems and oil boilers broken down beyond repair (not eligible for Boiler Replacment Scheme). Must be homeowner or private tenant. Income criteria: an income/pension of up to 25,000 Couple or single parent family with an income/pension of up to 40,000 Low-income households within the firmus energy gas network with no central heating, Economy 7, solid fuel or old oil or LPG (over 15 yrs) heating systems. Must be homeowner or private tenant. Must be homeowner or private tenant. Income criteria: an income / pension of less than 25,000 OR Couple or single parent family with an income / pension of less than 30,000 Single person household/ couple with an income/ pension of less than 35,000 AND over 70 Low-income households. Heating controls: Grant of around 20% towards the retrofitting of a new boiler burner control designed to efficiently manage the use of the 2 nd stage fire of commercial boilers. Grant of around 20% towards cost of replacing a single speed compressor with a new variable speed model Air leak detection/repair survey Grant of around 30% towards installing inverter technology on electric motors to achieve substantial energy savings by reducing motor speed 10
