Low-income households with no heating, economy 7 or solid fuel heating. Must be homeowner or private tenant. Income criteria: Housing Associations will be responsible for selecting properties and funding remainder of cost. Each of the priority schemes has its own set of vulnerability criteria/income thresholds to identify qualifying households. In general, NISEP schemes are targeted at households who do not qualify for assistance from government schemes such as Affordable Warmth.

Heating controls: Grant of around 20% towards the retrofitting of a new boiler burner control designed to efficiently manage the use of the 2 nd stage fire of commercial boilers. Grant of around 20% towards cost of replacing a single speed compressor with a new variable speed model Air leak detection/repair survey Grant of around 30% towards installing inverter technology on electric motors to achieve substantial energy savings by reducing motor speed 10
