1 Welcome to a warmer home Your guide to a gas supply and central heating system You could qualify for: Up to 2,404 towards the cost of connecting gas to your home Up to 1,300 towards new gas central heating
2 Integrated Energy Services and Wales & West Utilities are working together to create warm, energy efficient homes in Wales and the West of England. This guide explains how we can help you connect your home to a gas supply and receive financial support to install gas central heating. Your Gas Connection Through a government backed scheme Wales & West Utilities (WWU) provide funding to householders to connect to the mains gas network through the Warm Home Assistance Scheme. If eligible, you could qualify for up to 2,404 towards the cost of connecting your home to the gas supply. The offer applies to existing properties only and you could receive a grant if you meet one of the following criteria: You or your partner are 70 years of age or older You or your partner receive key qualifying benefits You spend 10% or more of your household income on heating your home to defined levels You live in an area eligible for support, as designated by the government In addition to the gas connection grant, you may also be able to receive funding towards a new central heating system. Your Gas Central Heating If you currently have electric, oil or coal heating you may qualify for a contribution towards the cost of a new gas central heating system. You could receive up to 1,300 towards new gas central heating*. What to do next: It s really easy. Follow our simple five step guide towards a new gas connection and a warmer home. Step 1 - Apply to Wales & West Utilities for a quotation Ask Wales & West Utilities for a quote to bring mains gas to your home Step 2 - Complete the Assessment Form Send to us at: Integrated Energy Services, SA12, Christchurch Road, Baglan, Port Talbot, SA12 7BZ. Please make sure you include evidence of your age and benefits. We ll let you know in 3-5 days if you are eligible. Don t pay until you know! Step 3 - Your vouchers If eligible we will send you: A voucher up to a value of 2,404 towards your Gas Connection. A voucher worth up to 1,300 towards the installation of Gas Central Heating in your home. Step 4 - Arrange your Gas Connection# You need to send the Gas Connection Voucher and signed Quotation Acceptance Form along with any extra payment if required, to Wales & West Utilities who will arrange your gas connection. 3 To check if you are eligible for a grant to connect to the mains gas network through the Warm Home Assistance Scheme you must complete Part A and Part B of the Assessment form on the following 3 pages. All the information you give should relate to the house where gas is to be installed. It should refer to the current heating and energy efficiency of the home before you started any works. The form should be signed by the person living in the house and who will be using the new gas supply. Checklist before posting Ensure you ve received a quote from Wales & West Utilities before submitting this form Ensure you have completed every question in Part A and Part B Don t forget to sign the form Have you included all proof of information with current and valid documents required? Do not send your Wales & West Utilities acceptance and cheque/credit card details to us at IES.
