1 TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE PROCUREMENT OF A FUEL SUPPLY TRUCK FOR WMATA 1. SCOPE OF WORK: This specification covers the detailed requirements for a diesel fuel supply truck which will be used to refuel multiple emergency mobile and stationary generators throughout WMATA locations in Maryland, District Of Columbia, and Virginia. 1.1 REQUIREMENTS: Dispensing diesel fuel in amounts of 50 to 2000 gallons of fuel at any location. Truck must be able to be driven over rough terrains and off of paved roads to reach destinations. 1.2 TRUCK DESCRIPTION: PETERBUILT 340 or equal 1.3 INSPECTION STICKER: Vendor shall obtain a District of Columbia inspection sticker prior to delivery. 1.4 DELIVERY: 180 days after receipt of order. All vehicles, manuals, and 6 sets of keys shall be delivered to the following address: WMATA Attn: Donald Scruggs 3500 Penny Drive Landover, MD NOTE: Please notify Sterling Brown at at least 24 hours prior to delivery. All vehicles must be delivered between the hours of 6:00AM and 2:00PM. 1.5 TRAINING: Vendor shall provided 16 (sixteen) hours of training on the maintenance and operation of the truck, fuel tanker, and equipment. Training dates and locations shall be determined by WMATA. 1.6 MANUALS: Vendor shall provide the following manuals with delivery of the truck: 1.7 WARRANTY: - Chassis - 3 maintenance manuals - Tanker w/equipment - 3 operations and 3 maintenance manuals

2 - Vendor must specify for each component including fuel tanker equipment - Transmission - 5 year extended warranty - Engine - 84-month/100,000 mile (0-dollar deductible) - Towing - 12 month OEM (0-dollar deductible) to nearest dealer - Activation - All OEM warranty coverage shall be activated upon WMATA. 5 hinged door on each side for easy access to delivery hose and nozzle. 16 in. access hole in baffle to be offset so holes do not line up through center of tank. Overturn protection to be prepared for vapor recovery. Overturn protection to have front and rear drain with will not drain on any of the chassis components or structure. D.O.T. Code - Lighting System - MC-406-AL Vapor-proof, in accordance with FMSVSS108. Stop, tail, directional, back-up lights and license plate lights in bumper. Meter light included in rear box. Ladder - Front drivers side with landing platform. Catwalk - Expanded metal between overturns. Manhole - 20 Tiona with 10 Fill. Fenders - Jeep-style, aluminum with mud flaps. Bumpers - Heavy-duty structural steel channel. PTO - Chelsea, air activated with integral hydraulic pump to drive fuel pump. Driveshaft - Husco H-10 Pump - 2 in. Blackmer TXD2, Integral Strainer Air Bypass Valve and Steel Pump Cradle Mounting. Meter - 1 ½ in. Liquid Controls M5C1 with strainer, Air Eliminator, Preset and Register. Hose Reel - Hannay electric rewind, 12 VDC inverted installation (hose feeds Over the top), 70 Amp breaker, push button controls, one On each side of tank, hand brake and hose roller assembly. Hose ft. x 1 in. Goodyear Redwing Petroleum Hose coupled Male/Male. Nozzle - 1 in. OPW 7H Nozzle with inlet swivel & brass spout. Piping & Emergency - Valve Controls All welded steel tubing. 3 Allegheny Air Emergency Valve with 2 piping to pump, 2 piping from pump to meter and 2 from

6 meter to hose reel. One (1) compartment E.V. air switch in rear box. Remote trip mounted at front of tank (driver s side). Victaulic connections at critical maintenance locations for ease of major component removal. Interlocks Accessories Located between PTO, rear truck brakes, emergency valve and hose brake. Nozzle tube holder with draincock and aluminum toolbox. Testing Pump testing and meter calibration standard.
