4 complete pendant range The Starkstrom range of clinical pendants / beams are ceiling mounted systems that provide simple and convenient access to multiple gas, electrical and data outlets at a safe height wherever they are needed. The range includes fully-flexible Proteus, multi-movement pendants and Cerberus beams specifically designed for use in critical care and operating theatres and rigid and retractable pendants designed for operating, anaesthetic and ancillary rooms. Starkstrom clinical pendants are simple and easy to use and provide a safe and organised environment with freedom from hazardous trailing leads and hoses. They are reliable, requiring minimal maintenance, cost-effective through their modular design and easy to clean, which ensures high levels of hygiene at all times. Full installation, commissioning and servicing is available, as required. All Starkstrom clinical pendants are compliant with HTM02:01 BS EN ISO 11197: 2004 and other relevant standards. 2

5 multi-movement & proteus pendant systems Available in single or twin configurations, the Proteus/multi-movement pendants are ceiling mounted pendant systems designed to deliver services and equipment to medical teams working with patients in critical care areas or the operating theatre. hygiene & infection control Pendant arms are elliptical with no flat ledges to reduce build up of dust and dirt. Any dust build-up is easily identified initiating the cleaning process. A smooth paint finish not only aids cleaning but provides an unobtrusive appearance to the patient and their families. Pendant fascias can be wiped clean and the clip in screwless design both reduces the risk of bacterial contamination and removes the need for rubber extrusions covering fascia fixing screws. 3

6 multi-movement & proteus pendant systems simple positioning The pendant arms and heads can be rotated into almost any position to provide all round access to the patient and easily and safely repositioned to suit different cases and procedures. High quality proprietary bearings make the pendants very easy to move and infinitely adjustable stops protect internal hoses / cables and prevent potential clashes. 7 multi-movement & proteus pendant systems service provision Featuring integral cable management the unique triangular service column with integral 25mm diameter poles allows multiple, shelf and accessory mounting on three faces. Medical rail has been designed into the pendants to allow standard accessories to be mounted anywhere on the pendant head. Infusion poles are mounted via the integral service head poles and can be moved independently from the pendant. fast upgrade path Pendant heads are designed to suit individual requirements and manufactured using British standard components. Pendant fascias which provide access to the various services simply clip in and out of the pendant head. This allows the capacity of the pendant to be quickly and easily changed without increasing the footprint of the pendant head / column. 5

8 rigid & retractable pendants Rigid and retractable pendants provide simple and convenient access to electrical and data services, medical gases and AGSS in the operating theatre, anaesthetic or ancillary room. The Starkstrom retractable pendant offers mm of vertical movement via a remote control, to bring services to the ideal height. A maximum of nine medical gas and uniquely, 32 electrical / data outlets can be mounted onto the retractable pendant. 6
