5 LM product concept Operating theater: CEILING PENDANTS Inpatient care: STANDARD BED HEAD SUPPLY UNITS Products LM Medical Division has designed and developed the OKI ISOLA ceiling pendant systems to ensure safe and easy access to services and equipment for the medical staff in the operating theatre and critical care environment at the point of care. The pendant arms and service column are made from high quality extrusion and are designed to provide plenty of capacity, which means they can accommodate all the electrics, gases, data and other media for any area of the hospital. High quality bearings mean effortless movement and a 330 rotation allowing the optimal positioning of the pendant. The structure of the pendants and the quality of the bearings means the pendant as a high load capacity and ease of movement even when fully loaded. The Pneumatic braking system controlling the movement of the pendants is isolated from the medical gases distribution system, ensuring maximum safety. Operating theater: MEDIA BRIDGE LM Medical Division; provide a comprehensive range of bed head supply/trunking systems. We have designed many extrusions which are all modular to accommodate all the services required at the bed head including intensive care areas where many services are required. Each unit is bespoke and built to client specification. The systems are durable, easy to clean and also aesthetically pleasing with no visible screws and the extrusion carefully designed. Our designs can include integrated lighting systems (Reading & room uplighting) and medical rail systems. The bed head systems are suitable for installation in all areas of the hospital and in all parts of the world, as our designs can house equipment and services to meet standards from different regions. With the LM Medical Division Media Bridge, all the trolleys normally used for the management of surgical instruments and medical equipment are no longer required, significantly improving operating theatre hygiene during ordinary sterilisation of environments. The operational and customised profiles make this the optimal solution for cutting-edge operating theatres. In addition, the Media Bridge was designed to ensure the laminar flow of filtered air in the operating theatre, isolating the patient from possible contamination and ensuring an antiseptic atmosphere beneath the structure. 6 LM product concept Inpatient care: PEDIATRIC BED HEAD UNITS Intensive care&emergency Products With this philosophy, LM Medical Division is one of the few companies in the world to have introduced a line dedicated to paediatric wards: colours, forms, and designs that brighten mood and promote smile therapies that are very effective in increasing the welfare of children during hospitalization. Inpatient care: DESIGN BED HEAD SUPPLY UNITS The OKI Cielo line of medical supply beams was designed in collaboration with experts in the field of intensive care to incorporate three essential primary functions: Ergonomics, speed and ease of intervention at the point of care. The beams are fully customizable and designed to carry large amounts of medical equipment as well as deliver all the services required in these critical areas, so regardless of the type of intensive care unit or emergency resuscitation area the OKI Ceilo provides the ideal solution. This also means that the vast majority of equipment is located on the beams allowing 360 access to the patient and clearing the floor space for clinicians to work. A minimum thickness of the aluminium bearing elements (3.5 mm) manufactured with extrusion technology providing greater bearing capacity results in minimal visual and structural impact in the areas of operation. Completing the line of products, LM Medical also manufacture vertical wall mounted and freestanding column systems, designed for maximum operational flexibility in the critical care environment combined with the smallest possible dimensions, in both the single and double bed versions. Furnishing accessories - PROTECTIVE AND PRIVACY SOLUTIONS LM Medical Division has developed a line of products designed to enhance the ward environments of Hospital and private clinics, medical facilities for long-term care, dementia, Oncology and women s and children s departments as well as VIP areas for international medical hospitals worldwide. The bed head units are designed to enhance the patient environment and help create a feeling of a hotel room or a more homely feel. The units can be customized to meet the requirements for each individual project. The bed head supply units can be manufactured in many configurations in horizontal or vertical plane and are modular. The quality aluminium frame that holds the panels can also be manufactured in any size or configuration, which means there are no limits to what we can achieve. The choice of finishes and colours is extensive; Woods, HPL, chrome details and the possibility of concealing the medical gas distribution elements and sockets make the Design line an obvious choice for environments that require a high stylistic and technical standard. The bed head supply units can be fitted with LED ambient colour changing lighting, night lights, reading and room lighting, bed protectors and medical rail if required. Shock absorption in the areas of handling a patient in bed and in a wheelchair in hospital facilities is critical as, in addition to preserving the structure from damage, it prevents further minor injuries to hospitalized patients. With this in mind, LM Medical Division has applied the experience developed with products for the operating theatre and intensive care to manufacturing shock absorption components with high mechanical and microbiological resistance. This type of equipment reduces structural maintenance costs and improves the safety of contaminated environments, eliminating the risk areas where it is difficult to clean. Also available is the Pratika line: telescopic and modular curtains that allow the rapid creation of privacy areas during intensive care, emergency departments and general ward areas.
